I personally hate how your feet sit in cruisers, riding standard feels way more natural.

Yeah, I won't be going small. I need a bike big enough to get me up to 70 so I don't die on the interstate.

I really like the Kawasaki Vulcans too. If I was willing to drop the cash I'd get a Honda Fury.

And anything above 500 will be able to haul you on the freeway fine. I wouldn't ride around with a passenger on the freeway with a 500, but you could.

I went to the Polaris motorcycle/cruiser site and the prices were pretty high. The V-Stars are still more than I really want to spend too. I'll spend 6,500 tops and am most likely gonna go used. Then it's only $100 a month and that is how much I'll save on gas alone and that will let whatever I get pay for itself pretty much.

The lower V stars are in my price range but are 650 ish. I might want a 900 or more in case I need to haul the wife along somewhere.

Esteemed professor Jager Boy once theorized that one must consider the ratio of weight lifted to the weight of the lifter. You, being 300lbs, and myself, being 132lbs, have comparable lifts. All things considered, it is much more impressive for me to lift a comparable weight to you, when you are nearly three times my size. My pound for pound strength surpasses yours. The only higher level you are on is body fat percentage.

I also look damn good with my clothes off (or on). I doubt anyone ever 'mirin you.

Shadows are nice in the sense that aftermarket is huge for them. You'll find plenty of saddle bags, tank bags, etc custom made for shadows.

And Hondas are the most dependable bike out there, they're built like hatchets.

Have you looked at sports touring bikes? You can usually get katanas for super cheap.
