aside from the fact that the protein from bk also has like 20g of fat with it, and thus an extra 180 cals, there's no difference.
except with regard to micronutrients.
in terms of body composition though cals in vs cals out works just fine til you get real lean and have to start worrying about hormone levels.Team Manlet

lol this has been beaten to death.
What don't people understand about this? Your MACROS need to be in placed also for effects on body comp. Obviously someone who eats ****ing 4000 cals of Hersey Bars opposed to 4000 cals of chicken, rice, veggie, etc. is going to have totally different gains. It's about macros mainly. Not that hard of a concept.☆☆☆MISC BOXING CREW☆☆☆

when are people going to understand that cals in v. cals out holds true depending on how specific you get. the only reason they say that the different types of calories cause your to put on more weight is because those types of carbs lower your metabolism in effect LOWERING YOUR CALS OUT number!! the doctrine still holds true.
same with IIFYM, if you are going to bring up well if you don't have enough low gi carbs well then it's not fitting YOUR macros, hence you are not following the doctrine correctly.Dude.....no

Its just basically saying that its easier to overeat on stuff like chips, fries and fast food rather than the "healthy" stuff like nuts and oats.
Calories in vs Calories out still matter.

Still repping OP but editing my entire post.
There's some truth to this but scientifically, this doesn't really add up. The entire point of statistics is to manipulate data in your favor.
1.) these people probably didn't have a great diet to begin with
2.) More TV = more bad food ads? Maybe it's the people who get home from work and plop down on the couch
3.) Maybe they were eating more and then just simply started eating less?
n.) people lie
I'm sure there's still some truth here, but what I'd like to see is to have 2 groups of people; one group eating whatever the hell they want as long as it's under whatever their daily requirement is, and one group eating super strict diets.Last edited by hobbes01721; 07-21-2011 at 09:44 PM.
There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want.

you're a fuking idiot. what is the difference between a burger from burger king and a can of tuna? lets see, the carbs from the bun and the saturated fats from how the meat was cooked. the stupidity in this forum astounds me at times. please note that a can of 200g tuna would be about 180-250cals, whilst a burger containing the SAME amount of protein, would have anywhere from 400-600cals. thats the difference between eating CLEAN and eating DIRTY
