    Guide to flexible dieting

I was making myself a cutting diet using the GFD guidelines and Lyle states you can have two free meals at my bf% category. My daily deficit is not big, it's about 500kcal, so if I ate two big free meals I could easily negate my weekly deficit.

Do you think I should eat less of my normal foods on the days I have my free meal? Or perhaps switch to 1 free meal a week?

The reason I don't IIFYM all week is because I'm prone to EDs like compulsive eating and bingeing, so mentally it's easier to have a more structured plan and have 'free meals' when I feel deprived.

I tend to stick to 1 free meal, and in that day I do eat less of my usual foods to allow for more calories to be spent on said meal. to be honest I wold just make it fit my macros but it is a family dinner so I let it go for that meal.

I'm the same when dieting, except without 'free meals'.

Just a thought, being prone to binge eating/ED behavior myself, I find that fitting things into my calories every day is much more helpful and less triggering than a free meal and whatnot...

    Good luck!
