I lied.
I'm getting some free samples of bodyform - promotion here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=147177683 if anyone is interested.
So...break is still on until next week. And then I'll decide how serious of a deficit I'm doing (non-training days only vs. everyday).
Anyways I'm going to yoga tonight and really excited about it. Need to stretch!!!

Nice OH squatting
I know nothing about wrist straps, but flat shoes/ socks make a huge difference for me when squatting. It feels weird to squat in shoes now.

Thanks!!
No goal weight. I'm feeling pretty good about where I am, a few more pounds would be icing on the cake. I've been thinking about EAT,STOP EAT - another form of IFing... just another way to avoid counting calories and feel like I'm dieting.
Hey! I wish I could do the REAL oly stuff - need to find a way to get the coaching you're getting. Might be too much on my plate though. I plan on trying the shoes out next time - maybe tomorrow.
Thanks for stopping by!
Me too!!!

Training is kinda wierd - feel really strong in some lifts and very weak in others. Break is officially on for the next week or so.
RDL: 10@135, 155, 185, 185
Conventional DL (no belt): 1@185, 225, 245 <- these felt much faster off the floor and pretty strong, if I had a belt, would have gotton 265
BB Bench: 3x3 @110
Floor cgbp: 55x8x3
Cable flys/pushups
DB rows: 20@35s (x4)
I got my bf to take some awesome pictures of me doing pullups. When he sends them to me, I can post them.

You can always practice with a broom stick We learned with a 4 oz PCV pipe, and it kicks your butt after a while!
The above is very useful for me, its got a lot of the basic moves, and you just have to tie it together.
I know what you mean though. I wish I could learn gymnastics, dance, pole vaulting...so little time in this life...and the body can only recover so fast lol!!
Did you try your flat shoes today?"Choice is ours whether

I can imagine! The video looks helpful, I'll give these moves a try. I have the normal problems: (feeling dumb, not knowing what I'm doing), too slow and not enough flexibility. I guess that's why they call it "practice"

If you saw the videos I take of practice to see my form and correct it, youd know that I dont consider these lifts simple at all lol!! Gah!
Its like having all the perfect pieces to a clock, sure they can be fantastic bits and pieces, but the magic happens when you get all the pieces to work together for one function...
no...overhead squats sounded way to hard today. next time!
Your pics look great! Nice back!!! Yes, your lifts are paying off!!!"Choice is ours whether

I tried the warmup moves just now. Figured since it was only a minute or two to do it - I had no good excuse to put it off. It feels silly, and looks silly. I'm gonna need some work. But they did help loosen up my shoulder some. I'll keep working on it.
I'm curious about the shoes too. But do you consider oly shoes "flat"?
Thank you!

Yeah, It feels silly for sure.
Try learning how to jump and land. It sounds simple, but try standing like you would for a high jump, and walk your feet out just outside of your hips, the new position is your landing position. You are supposed to nail it every time. I am not good at this. lol. So I was made to jump and land 50 times.... :-/
Its about speed, creating speed, and being efficient.
Oh I could just babble on
Im glad you tried. If anything it warms you up. Just remember to keep the bar close to your body. We had a PVC pipe held in front of us as we lifted to make sure it was vertical, and not swung out at the top.....just something else to keep in mind lol.

Your back looks awesome!
I lift in Merrel trail shoes with a Vibram sole. I'd love a pair of Oly shoes but I don't like the idea of buying shoes without trying them on first as I've only found them on the internet. I have tight hip flexors, hamstrings, and calves. I can't actually squat very low with my heels on the ground. Since my Merrel's are flat, I have to put 5lb weight plates under my heels. Oly shoes might allow me to dispense with that.

I had a response/some thoughts, but have since forgotten. I'll need to get back to you - but babble on - I like learning how to think about different types of training. As a side note, have you read any of Lyle's stuff about Oly lifting?
Do you have a bar at home? That was the only way I worked on them for the first year or so.
Thanks for all the compliments!
gw- I love my shoes. Not only the heel lift, but the support it gives my feet. I'm able to push against the ground better. These are them: http://www.muscledriverusa.com/2011-...ray_p_839.html

Deload is mostly over, although it's going to be difficult getting back into training. I spend the last week on a ranch-style house in the middle of nowhere, Minnesota. Gorgeous. Lots of naps, reading, canoeing, running, eating, drinking, handstands and carwheels in the grass....
I'm hoping to be able to jump right back into dieting, but after all that food, it might take some time getting used to eating less. It will likely be a solid week before I have a decent workout. I think I'm probably 130-131, hopefully some of it is just water.
