    Question about cutting

I've heard you need to take breaks from dieting occasionally by eating at maintenance. My question is - how do you decide when you need a break? And how long should the break be?

I've been cutting for 15 weeks and have been consistently losing weight (1lb a week) and BF. Not feeling really fatigued mentally or physically...so I'm not sure if I should be taking a break.

    Thanks.

Take a break when you stall or at least slow down. If you're still doing a pound a week and your energies are good, keep it up. When your weight loss stops or you start to feel unenthused or think you have to go too low in calories, then take your break.

This is completely individual. The more you need to lose, the longer you can go without having to take a break. If you're using a more agressive deficit and start feeling somewhat worn out, you could slighlty up your calories a bit, but still keep it in a deficit.

If you're feeling good, then keep going!
