If you don't have these 3 things by 30, game over

    1. $25,000 in retirement accounts - Roth IRAs is the smartest

    2. Job with a salary of at least $50,000-75,000 - also you should have at least half of your salary as an emergency fund in a high-interest savings account

    3. Real estate - if you are renting an apartment, you are dumb - house values appreciate between 20,000-30,000 annually in my area. Getting started on paying down a mortgage while your house value appreciates is a key investment tool.

If you don't have these 3 things by 30, you will not retire until your 70s and you will still be struggling. You will be a burden to your kids in your later years. While it's never too late to start, these are minimum requirements to be able to make it brahs

average income for a married couple is still under $50k/year.........are you saying the average married couple is failing at life?

"if you're not here you a pathetic excuse for a person"...thats pretty much what you're saying

Your opinion is skewed, seems like you surround yourself with mediocrity, white collar works.

I'm not saying they are pathetic. I am saying they will struggle for the entirety of their life and their children will be stuck footing the bill when they are old. Is that what you want for your children?

And how much is your house worth compared to when you bought it? I'd imagine you'll make a good gain, which you then can invest into retirement to catch up.

This is a by 30 list. Obviously your salary will increase into your 40s - 50s ect when you get into manager positions.

Also companies will look down on you that you are just now getting bachelor degrees at age 27. No real work experience too, I'd imagine.

I'd say the real mark of a failure is someone with absolutely zero reading comprehension who is in their 30s.

Yup. You'd also have to be a fool to not realize we are in the middle of another bubble, and it's going to crash down even worse than last time within the next 5 years.

A guy who bought a house in 2007 is still in a great position today. You only lose when you don't invest. Have fun making your landlords richer and receiving no equity and good luck being poor in your older years.

30 years old and banking on this^ Will snatch up something nice when the bubble bursts again.

Also interdasting OP said 25k in retirement by 30. I have a bit less than 40k and I think it's not enough.

If you don't have these 3 things by 30, you will not retire until your 70s and you will still be struggling. You will be a burden to your kids in your later years. While it's never too late to start, these are minimum requirements to be able to make it brahs
Actually there was an article that came out a few weeks ago

    You need:

    1. $35,000 in retirement accounts

    2. Job salary of at least $75,000-$90,000

    3. Real estate - optional

Sorry brah, doesn't look like you're gonna make it
