Thanks for the pick me up. As some people affectionately say, "Black don't crack". I'm hoping to defy my age for many years to come.
I'm guessing, when you stop comparing yourself to others. Sometimes it's hard to gauge progress when you're focused on everyone else.Lifetime natural bodybuilder, and certified nutritionist.

If I had started competing in my early 20's, maybe I would have went that route. Chances are, I'd have met the right people to guide me along. Oh well, it's fun to speculate.
That means a lot! If anyone knows how to spot a pro physique, it's you.Lifetime natural bodybuilder, and certified nutritionist.

Feels strange posting this after Pat's pics, but here is my progress...
Alberto Nunez wanted me to start dieting this week, strangely enough, so in 3 days, contest prep begins. I'm 6 months out from show #1 (same show I did last year), and 9 months out from show #2 (NGA nationals)

I added more fat than I wanted to. Legs are better than they look imo though
I'm pretty sure my legs are still striated when fully flexed.
a few days out on the left (2013), 24 weeks out on the right (2014)

ha, thanks a lot man. Well, 2nd prep ever. That was my goal.. stay lean, and look like an anatomy chart on show day. Plus I wanted to do more than 1 show. Thanks. It wasn't easy.
it may be expensive, but I might just do the last 16 weeks of the show with berto (for the 1st show), and then since I've never done 2 shows near each other, have another 12 weeks with him for the nationals. so 28 weeks in a rowFull Blown Baby

very curious as to the plan berto puts you on.. i'm in a similar situation.. though i dont think i was as lean as you.. i'm hoping to be ahead of the curve bigtime and i'm not sure if it is smarter to have a midway break or hit my prep low 6-8 weeks out and "grow" into the show

It seems this got lost in the shuffle, but I definitely took notice. Compared to earlier pics, you're much leaner. Clearly, your diet has been on point. Excellent progress!
I'm in good company! Also, I would totally take you up on that offer. While I've never been to New Zealand, it looks very nice. Although, I must admit, the indigenous Hobbit population scares me.
Thanks for the reps! We all have our gifts. For instance, I'm 'mirin your calves.
