I've played CoD: MW2019 on both Xbox One X and on my gaming PC the same day, and PC blows that sh*t out of the water.

True, but a 1080 P you tube video is quite accurate. I saw loads of compensations and they look roughly the same. I have a pretty good P.C myself; and as an Engineer who has been gaming for around 15 years I know quite a bit about PC gaming.

Again, I am just the messenger, not the developer. The issue is not the PCs are not more powerful than console, the issue is that developers are too lazy to optimize it good for good computers. You CAN however get like double the FPS on P.C, however.

Optimization isnt about graphical fidelity, it's about how good the game runs.. You've obviously never played a game on an enthusiast level computer because you're talking about a PS4 being able to play a game just as well as a gaming PC and looking the same. Even a PS4 Pro and Xbox One X are sht tier specs compared to an aged gaming rig

Always hear this comment online about how this is BS and PC master race etc, but how many people in real life actually have PCs capable of this? I know like 2-3 people who do. On the flip side, literally every male I know in their 20's to early 30's have an xbox/playstation.

You've obviously never played a game on an enthusiast level computer because you're talking about a PS4 being able to play a game just as well as a gaming PC and looking the same. Yeah, the spics. on a P.C are better but if developers don't optimize it, then whats the point? Play COD with a 2080 GTX and it will still look worse than God of War on the Ps4.

Games RUN better on P.C and have a much higher FPS, but the GRAPHICS are similar to consoles which is why there are no differences, even in very high quality 1080 p videos. The actual graphics won't be better unless developers choose to optimize it for high end GPU. Again, don't blame me for this, blame the greedy developers who don't optimize it because they won't get money from it.

It's perfectly believable. Look at God of War on PS4 Pro in 4k and tell me this doesn't look like a realistic next gen leap from that. Maybe it'll take a couple years for games of this graphical quality to come out on the PS5, but with the specs it has I have no doubt it'll be done eventually.

Does not at all take into account that for most people video games is just a fun casual thing and not something they want to put time and energy into in order to build a PC (even knowing how to put together a PC and order everything, it's going to take exponentially longer than ordering a new xbox and setting that up). Most people just want to sit down on their couch and turn on a console, not sit at a desk and play on a PC. Of course everyone you know plays PC games, that's probably how you met your friends or stayed connected with them. The fact that consoles are behind PCs is irrelevant and matters only to people who want to unleash the full power of their PCs.

My main point is that we're more held back by engines now than by hardware. Playing PC is just for more FPS or resolution. You're not really getting better textures anymore.

I own a P.C but its unfair to claim that the graphics are really better.

I do KNOW that a gaming P.C is more powerful than a console, however, the problem lies with the developers. They don't choose to optimize it for high end graphics cards. So in the end all we get are higher frame rates. of course, you can argue that YouTube videos (even high end ones with 1080 P) and high quality images don't show the full difference between the graphics, but there is no EVIDENCE to suggest that P.C has better graphics than a 4K T.V on a console.

In all fairness you can buy a pre build P.C on sale and it would cost the same as if you made it yourself.

PC gaming is great but its intellectually to suggest that its multiplatforms have much better graphics based on evidence (ie. resolutions, side by side video and image compensations) etc.
