Fairly good day today except I hurt my left shoulder on the incline Hopefully it fixes itself but at the moment I'm kinda worried. Not sure how it happened. I was grinding out the last rep and it just started to hurt. Never had any shoulder pain on incline before...
Anyway, deads were easy as fark! At least my deads are climbing nicely... Definitely will be able to add 5kg for another few weeks provided my recovery is fine. Hopefully end Madcow's on something close to 500x5. That's what I'm aiming for.
Weight: 105.5kg. Heaviest I've been for a long, long time. Strange since my diet has been the same.
Haha. Yeah man I got up to around 117kg (260lbs) about 3 years ago when I first started training seriously/properly. Went from like 92kg to 117kg in around 7-8 months lol. Did a sort of a dreamer bulk and got too fat but I did get pretty strong in 6 months. My ass was fuking massive! Still is massive but not a ghetto booty anymore

Sharp pain in the shoulder pretty sure this gonna take a whole to get better, it's still very sore. Putting on a jacket hurts like a bitch, even holding my arm straight out in front of me hurts a bit. I'll try and bench tomorrow and see how I go. I may be able to flat bench without much pain, incline, dips and ohp may be out of question for a bit but we'll see.

Good day today! I took some NSAIDs for my shoulder pain last night as it was hurting a lot and woke up this morning practically pain free. Was doing a bit of research on my shoulder pain symptoms and it seemed like I had torn a rotator cuff. Symptoms where 100% the same but if I did tear it, I don't think I would've recovered so quick so I don't know what it was....
So squats were probably the exercise the hurt my shoulder the most tonight. Putting my arms behind me and grabbing the bar still hurts a touch but nothing bad... Anyway, squats were easy as **** tonight. Much better than Monday's session. Was happy.
Took it easy on bench and started with a few sets with the bar just to see how my shoulder felt and there was no pain at all. My shoulder felt a bit weird but there was no pain. Gradually increased the weight and yeah, all good. 115kg went up 3 times very comfortably. I reckon I had 5 in me tonight so hopefully I won't stall on Monday again!
Weight: 105.5kg
Hmm. So incline DB you guys reckon? I'm kinda worried about doing incline BB again next week so I may switch to DBs instead! Hopefully my shoulders will be happy with the change!!My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Yep, I was thinking dips would hurt my shoulders but there was no pain at all tonight. Thats why I started off on BW and worked up slowly.. Wasn't 100% confident. Kinda weird since yesterday my shoulder hurt A LOT and today it's practically gone. Felt like a very serious/annoying shoulder injury that would be with me for a while and limit my exercises..

Got my revenge on bench tonight! The 5th wasnt even really a grinder either. It was a bit slow but I reckon I may have had 1 more in the tank. Now hopefully I can get 115x5 next week.
Squats werent that difficult either. Should be fine on these for a while.
No idea what I did to my shoulder. It's almost 100% again. Only hurt a bit on squats. Very strange 1 day injury. Could barely put on a jacket and hold my arm out in front of me one day, the next day no pain. weird, but ill take it.

Went to the gym today but didn't finish the session. My body is falling apart at the moment, couldn't even lift 130kg/286lbs off the ground on deads as one of my left ribs is killing. It feels broken but I have no idea how that could be possible. Even the light squats were painful, shouldn't have even gone to gym tonight. Also ****ed my neck somehow sleeping last night so I can barely turn my head left and my right arse cheek is killing from sciatic nerve pain. Went to the shop afterwards limping around and bought some tennis balls so I can roll my arse cheek around on that. Hopefully it's better soon.

Not sure but whatever it is, it's still hurting like a bitch. Haven't trained since my failed day on Wed and it hasn't really gotten better.
Sciatic nerve pain has been really bad though. Usually rolling around on a tennis ball a few times sorts it out but the pain keeps coming and going this time.
I feel like an old man at the moment. You should see my get out of bed haha. I have to sort of roll out as I cant use my abs or use my legs at all. Feel like a cripple.

Moved to a new area yesterday so the headache of looking for a new gym starts again. Looked at 4 "gyms" tonight and they were all farkn pathetic for any decent weight routine. They were all the gyms that were real close... I still have a couple to check out which are a bit further out so fingers crossed they're at least decent enough to do squats and deads.
One fkn gym I went to didn't even have a BB bench. Just smith machine and adjustable benches for DB work. Worst gym ive ever stepped foot into.
Probably still wouldnt be able to train still anyway so a bit of time off (just as long as I find a decent gym, eventually) could be a good thing! My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Pretty sure planet fitness would be better. I dont think you could have a worse gym even if you tried.
So I found a pretty sweet serious gym a few stops away on the train. This place has a monolift, GHR, several squat racks, benches and a heap of other ****. Quite expensive but I joined up and did a quick session. Just kept it light as I don't trust my hip at the moment. Worked up to a 120kgx5 squat, 100kgx5 bench. They weren't that hard, but have definitely lost some strength. Not sure how people take off over a week before meets.
Anyway, provided my hip is 100% I'll start up properly next week and take it from there! My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

First full session back. Lost a bit of strength unfortunately 135kg on squats was alright though. Will add 5kg a week to get back up to 150kg or so.
Bench was a bit tougher than squats but got the 5 out. Prob had 1 left in me.
Was going to use the GHR for the first time but there was a geared PL team training squats on the mono and the GHR is right next to it so I didn't wanna interfere. They also have a reverse hyper machine too.
Hopefully man! I'm liking this gym a lot so far but I've been warned it can get quite busy during the peak times. Been quiet for my two visits so far so hopefully I miss the crowd. My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Was going to give incline DB another go but all the adjustable benches were taken so I just jumped on the HS plate loaded chest press. Not a bad exercise actually.. May stick with it. Doesn't hurt my shoulder at all.
Decided not to drop a huge amount on deads and it ended up being a good idea. 190kg went up alright, form felt a bit sloppy though. Will add 5kg per week to it.
There was a guy at the gym tonight benching 200kg (440lbs) for reps easily. Pretty sure he got 5 out. Most ive seen someone bench in real life by a long, long way. Quite impressive. My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Haha, ok.
I'll start logging again next week on Monday.
Joined a depressing commercial gym though. It's cheap and really close to my house. It has hex plates! Used them last night for deads and they sucked serious dick. The PL gym I joined was awesome but it was costing me too much to travel to.

Stopped logging as I got sick and tired of writing the same weights over and over. Kind of demotivating after a while... I'll start again from today and hopefully string some progress together for once.
So that was today's session. Squats were fairly comfortable and bench was pretty hard. Prob had 2 left on squats and no reps left on bench.
Wednesday I'll be going for 210kgx5 (463x5) on deads. This will be the most I've done since I left oz (well over a year), so looking forward to that.My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Left quad has a slight strain at the moment so cut squats 1 set short. Probably shouldn't have done them at all as even the warm up with the bar hurt. Gotta do some more foam rolling
The chitty gym I'm at now doesn't have an BB incline bench so I gotta do either DB incline or OHP. Not a huge fan of OHP so I'll see how I go with DB incline. I was thinking of doing 3x8 and then adding 1 rep with the same weight each week up until I hit 3x12. Then increase the weight and drop back down to 3x8 and work up to 3x12 again. Anyone have any other ways to structure my DB incline sets/progress?
Deads felt fkn awesome today. Not sure why either. Every set felt super quick and easy. the 5th rep of 210kg took a bit of effort but it was by no means a grinder. That's the most I've lifted in the UK so I'm pretty happy! Will go up to 215kg/475lbs next week.My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181

Quick session today. Not squatting at the moment so my left quad can heal up. It's feeling almost better now so I should be right to start again next week.
incline DB was fine. Nothing really to say here at the moment.
After my awesome sesh on deads last week were everything felt super easy, this week was a lot harder but still managed the 5. Form didn't feel too good though. I reckon I had at least 220/485x5 in me last week, maybe even a bit more. Felt weird doing deads and not squatting beforehand. Felt like I couldn;t get into position and the hex plates weren't helping either. Kunt of things they are. Anyway, according to my trusty 1RM calc 475x5 equals 550. Not bad I guess. Onto 220x5 next week!My Madcow Journal - http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136450181
