Definitely corn and beans, fruits such as bananas (I'm so glad berries are low in calories...) and many years ago even bread. Where I come from (Eastern Europe) people eat bread to almost every single meal, usually with a lot of butter, sometimes even with pure pork fat and that's not even the main dish...

Pb I used to have two big tablespoons of pb thinking it was the correct size but when I measure it not even one of my big tablespoons were close to the right amount , rather it was like if one of my tbs were almost 4 tbs so I was eating 8 tbs thinking that I was eating 2 !!!! Lol

Somebody said cheesecake factory cheesecake. Ha, went there for first time in three years just this weekend. Checked all nutrition facts before ordering my cake....said **** it and got the 1150 cal slice of resee's PB cup cake anyway.....I'm still not sorry. Ha.
I was one of the brainwashed citizens into thinking carbs aren't bad for weight loss, and that fat is the devil.
Bad surprises included skim milk. I'd down 4 cups in one glass easy, with nestle quick. Sometimes two or more of them a day.
Cereal, yup. Same sizes are rediculous.
Pleasant surprises included how macro friendly and low cal whole eggs are (see above regarding the devil fat brainwashing) I woulda thought 2 whole eggs would wreck your day, when in fact only equal about 160 cals.
Pork loin, and pork sirloin were surprisingly high protien, low fat. Sirloin steak is lower calorie than I once thought too.

i'm confused. =s
yea. but besides that, i've been pretty good w/ macros since the start of my weight loss when i was 20. shrimp low. ground turkey/chicken low. ff yoghurt low. berries low. etc etc etc.
100 grams of bean sprouts are only 'bout 27 cals:
***on another note:***
how many calories are actually in sweetner?! reps for answer.

hmm...interesting. i thought it had no calories because it's just chemicals.

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_many_c...cup_of_splenda:
This is true IF Splenda were to actually be metabolized by the body. However, Sucralose is manufactured from sucrose (table sugar). The conversion of sucrose to sucralose is made by adding three chlorine atoms to each molecule of the table sugar. This process makes the sugar indigestible so the body doesn't recognize it as a carbohydrate. Since it isn't digested like sugar, the body isn't able to use it for energy, therefore, no calories are consumed.Last edited by trance__dreamer; 08-24-2011 at 06:58 PM. Searching for the right source right now, but from what i remember from it is that splenda is a mixture of sucralose, maltodextrin, and dextrose. The latter of the three being carbs and making 0.5g of carbs per serving. Here is a website that briefly explains it but its not the one im really looking for. http://www.lowcarbfreedom.com/2005/0...ate_to_th.html

Im not sure if I was stunned by the macro of some of the foods, but mind = Blown after I bought a food scale and measured the "serving size."

Bad:
Raisins. The total cals per decent serving(like not a tiny box, but like 1/2 to 1 cup) is outrageous! I mean, I'm outraged!!! Lol! But seriously, WTH?? Forget eating raisins.
Good:
Overall, the amount of protein in most foods. Veggies, fruit, dairy, nuts. I honestly just thought 99% of protein was in meat. Now I see that most foods have some in it. Nice!"That's what I want. Period. I want to look like I lift even when I don't flex. I want little girls to be afraid of my abs. I want other women to talk bad about me out of jealousy. I want men to worry I could snap them in half with my legs(yet be oddly turned on by the thought at the same time)." ~me2011
