I know on the Maury show, they have lie detector tests about cheating. Apparently, the "men" fail the tests majority of the time, and the people make it out to be accurate.
But more importantly
In this video, there was an issue as to who sexually assaulted the guy's daughter. The two women passed the test, while the guy failed his test. And apparently in the "show" it was "proven"( I say this lightly) that he raped his daughter. Although he tried to explain himself(and even retake) everyone criticized him and blamed him.
In the Steve Wilkos show, they generally test 2-3 people to see if they are lying. On one end, One person is telling the truth. On the other hand, the other person can fail all the questions. From there on out, the guy will be accused
Basically, what I am asking is, do these Lie detector tests hold any ground? Are the shows(specifically wilkos) fake? If so, can you prove it is? Are the people who fail these lie detector tests, just blamed to boost up the ratings? Are the results fixed?
Why is it that Steve wilkos, Or the people in Maury, make it seem like these tests are accurate, and if you fail it and try to defend yourself, you are lying?
