I am SOOO excited to have the opportunity to log this Cellucor stack (thanks Mike!). I have never tried any Cellucor products, so this is totally new experience for me. I’ve heard good things, so I have high expectations, but I will be honest in my reviews of each product.
A little background to bore you with: I’m 29 years old. 6’0’’ about 203lbs. My main goal right now is to gain some size/mass but lose some bag weight at the same time. I’d like to get my weight up to around 205 but lower my body fat to around 12%. I’m sitting at 14% body fat right now. I train 5 days a week with cardio about 3 days a week (sometimes more cardio but never less). My diet is pretty good (most days) I try to stick as close to it as I can. 6 meals a day. Each meal includes: 30-40g protein. 15-20g carbs. 10-15g healthy fats. There is always that one day a week where I triple the carbs, but I try to keep those days as non-frequent as possible. Like I said, I’ve never tried C4, but I’ve tried just about every other pre-workout supplement on the market and I’ve had great experiences with most of them. The NO3 and R3 are completely new to me as well. Feel free to contact me any time during or after this log for additional information about my experience with the stack. I’ll try to be detailed, but I’m bound to be vague on some aspect of a supplement that someone is curious about. I’ll start with an initial review of each product.

Taste: Orange would probably be my last choice in any supplement or sports drink. I don’t hate it, I just never loved it. (Lemon is probably the only one that I might dislike as much or more than orange in general). This stuff is pretty good though. It tastes like a cross between orange Gatorade and non-carbonated diet orange pop (soda… for all you non-Ohio bodybuilders). It is just sweet enough to be enjoyable without being too strong, tart, sharp, or overwhelming. When you get a good tasting pre-workout drink, it is all the more motivating to get ready and go to the gym. There is nothing worse than having to choke down a drink on the way to the gym. Some make me literally gag; however, I won’t have that problem with orange C4. As satisfied as I am with the orange flavor, I’d be really excited to try grape, watermelon, or blue raspberry flavored C4. I don’t know if they even offer those flavors though. Like I said, I’m pretty unfamiliar with Cellucor products (but not for long).
Mixability: No problems here. I used 1.5 scoops with about 10 ounces of water. A few shakes later and it was ready to drink. No floaters and clumps. About the same as any quality pre-workout powder out there.
Explosive Energy: Definitely!!! I was a crazy man in the gym today for my first time using C4. It took about 35 minutes to kick in and I took it only 10-15 minutes before I started lifting. I was a little nervous/disappointed for the first few sets of my session, but then all of a sudden like a switch, it turned on. I will post today’s training session results later. Once it kicked in, I couldn’t slow down even if I wanted to. I found myself taking less rest between sets which is something I have really struggled with the past few weeks. My workout calls for 30-45 seconds between sets but today is the first time I was anywhere near that. I usually need at least 90 seconds to build up the courage to go after another set. Today was different. I wasn’t timing my rests but it was a lot closer to 45 seconds than in the past few weeks.
There are some pretty cool/powerful explosions on google images, but this is the one that helps describe the burst of energy I felt during today’s workout. A picture is worth a thousand words right?
Overall: Very excited about what I saw and felt today after using C4. I hope the effects don’t change in the next 20-30 servings. Only time will tell.
I found the above info in my google search for Cullucor photos and I thought it was interesting enough to throw in here. It’s pretty easy to figure out what the two other supplements are, and I can honestly say that I’m a big fan of both of these other products. So if I notice a clear difference between C4 and some of my favorite pre-workout supplements, I might have a new favorite at the end of this log. We shall see…

I was really excited about this one. The name alone sounds like some futuristic supplement that the Silver Surfer would use to get ripped. The packaging containers of all the Cellucor supplements are sweet by the way. I dig the shiny silver look. Very tough…
I like the fact that it’s stimulant free (getting a perfect amount of caffeine through C4). I love the fact that it’s capsules. It just makes it a little more easy and convenient to swallow a few caps than mix and prepare multiple pre-workout drinks. I got really good pumps today during my lats, delts, and traps day. My shoulders especially looked sculpted and huge. I noticed this even in the middle of my workout with my shirt on. I can’t wait to see what it does for me on my arms day. I don’t quite understand the science behind this supplement (or any supplement for that matter) and I don’t feel like I need to fully understand it in order to reap the benefits of it. You could show me some scientific web with numbers and letters and I’ll nod and pretend to learn, but the bottom line is it works, and as long as it’s safe, that’s what I care about. Great results. I weigh just over 200lbs so according the bottle, I should have taken 6 caps, but I only took 4 for my first serving. The bottle suggests starting with 3 caps and establishing your tolerance. I was a little confused as to why there is a chart that tells people over 200lbs to take 6 caps if it’s like a pre-workout thing where the user’s tolerance is difference from other people regardless of weight. If anyone has thoughts or facts about that, I’d be willing to learn. I’ll probably end up taking 5 or 6 on my upper body days in the gym, but only 3 on my leg days. I might switch that up as the log progresses. I’ll let you know on a daily basis how much of each supplement I use.
I’m hoping this stuff works some magic for me because I’m probably past-due for a week off of all training. My body has been in the gym for over a year without a break. Granted, I haven’t always trained with the intensity that I trained with today, but still… I’m hoping this recovery/defense supplement keeps my body healthy and ready to get back into the gym tomorrow. After this log I’ll probably take a week off of all supplements and I’ll even try to stay away from the gym, but there’s no way in heck I’m going to let up now with these top of the line supplements in my closet. So I’ll push myself harder than ever for another few weeks and see how I feel at that point. I actually just read an article about the importance of antioxidants so I was glad to see that this is a “super antioxidant.” I have two daughters and I’m a school teacher and karate instructor, so the immune support will be very helpful. As far as my joints, I usually feel pretty good. Once in a while my shoulder will act up, but my knees and elbows rarely bother me. The joint support can’t hurt though seeing as how I’m planning on really turning it up during this log.
Okay great… So I guess that’s my first entry in this log… I think it went well. Like I said, let me know if you have any questions about anything I wasn’t clear on. I’d be happy to go into more detail where needed. Thanks for joining me on my journey of trying to get huge . I’ll throw up some pictures of myself at the beginning of this log so we can see how much/if change occurs.

Hi, I wanted to thank you for this great read!!
Cellucor is actually the name of a company that manufactures supplements for its own line of supplements you might have guessed, but they have also branched out into other niches fitness related, such as sponsorship of several fighters MMA, professional bodybuilders and also has several in-house personal trainers who can tailor a workout routine for you if you wish.
Many Thanks,

Today was a decent workout. I'm not real impressed with the numbers I put up, but it's a session that I know will help me take a step forward rather than staying the same or going backwards.
I stayed with 1.5 scoops of C4 and 4 NO3 caps for pre-workout. Post-workout, I had a protein shake and 5 R3 caps.
Today's numbers:
bb flat bench: 215x5, 225x5, 235x5, 245x5, 225x8 (not really impressed with myself here)
bb incline bench: 4x10 155lbs
high rows 5x5 160
bb bent rows 5x10 135 (nice and hard)
reverse grip bench press: 5x10 155lbs
db flat bench flyes 4x10 45lbs
seated rows 4x8 140lbs
Cardio: 10 minutes on bike
Workout notes: I guess I can't impress myself every time I step into the gym. I'm happy with my effort level. I worked hard on every set, but I feel like I'm stronger than what what the numbers say. Just one of those days I guess. I've been doing a lot of work with dumbbells for the chest, so I wasn't quite hitting my spot on the bb bench today. I miss the days of throwing 330 on the bar and repping it a few times. I'm thinking about encorporating more decline bench work into my chest day. I do a lot of dips on my arms days so at least I'm hitting the lower chest a little. I might be adjusting that soon. My cardio kinda sucked today. Not because I was lazy or tired, but because I was feeling pressure from the boss (my wife) to get home at a reasonable hour so she can take her turn at the gym before they close. They close at 8:00 on Friday nights, and with two kids it's hard for both of us to get our sessions in everyday. Hey in 25 years I'll be retired, all my kids will be out of the house, and I'll be able to hit the gym all day every day if I want... For now, I have to squeeze it in when I can like everyone else.
I've been home from the gym for about an hour now, and I feel pretty good. I'm not exausted and I'm obviously not crashed out on the couch. Not that I'd be able to sleep even if I wanted to!
Tomorrow is another legs day so I'll probably stick with 4 NO3 caps and then push it up to 5 or 6 caps for my arms day on Monday. But let's take one workout at a time. Baby steps...

I felt great during and after my legs day today. Probably one of the most fulfilling workouts I've had in a long time.
squats: 5x6 (235lbs) I went off for 12x on my last set and it wasn't even a killer!
wide stance leg press: 5x8 (370lbs) I did 10x on my last set (again my easiest set was last)
leg curls: 5x8 (170lbs)
leg extensions: 5x8 (200lbs)
Adduction machine 2x15 (130lbs)
Abduction machine 2x15 (130lbs)
Lunges: 2x15
back extensions on hyper: 3x20 (25lbs)
Smith machine toe raises: 3x30 (225lbs)
Notes: I was in the zone today. The weight I'm using is getting closer to what I want to see from myself, and the definition I see in my quads and calfs is much better lately.
I just noticed that on the NO3 bottle it says "if you're taking NO3 in addition to C4, do not take more than 3 NO3 caps." I sure am glad I noticed this because I was about to pop 6 caps and wash them down with my C4.
I'm noticing crazy vascularity in my biceps and forearms the past couple days (actually since starting this stack). I'm seeing veins I've never seen in my arms before. And the veins in my calfs are becoming more prominent too. This is what I want to see.
What do people strive to get that vascularity? What does bulding veins mean? It's clearly a sign of hard work and success, but why? Anyone? I'm sure curious.

Wow, sounds like you had a killer workout, great job man!
and to answer your question about vascularity... im not really sure, actually sometimes it is kind of scary if someone is too vascular in my opinion. im not that vascular of a guy, but im just happy with a few veins here and there to show definition. some people are just way too vascular in my opinion, and i feel that it looks bad when its too much. just my 2 cents!

re: NO3 label..oops My first run of it I was doing 4-5 NO3 capsules + 3 scoops of C4, and I'm OK. Oh well, meh.
Vascularity: It's a sign of two great things: skin tightness a la big muscles/work put in, and also low body fat. Ever see a fat dude with veiny arms? Nope.
Just my .o2
Hope your day is goooooooooood so far!

question
The NO3 container says "take on an empty stomach."
I just ate dinner (not a huge dinner but I'm definitely not dealing with an empty stomach). Is it just a matter of it working faster when taken on an empty stomach? Or will the food in my gut waste the supplement or worse (make me sick)?
If I don't get a reply to this question in the next few minutes... I'm going to take my chances with the caps. I gotta lift and the gym is gonna close.

F-it. I'm taking em. This will be a good aspect of the product to review. I've stalled as long as I could. I'm sitting here at my kitchen table holding these three beautiful black capsules in my hand like I'm going through hardcore withdrawl.
Thanks for the advice about morning training. I wish I had that luxury... Some of us have jobs... Wait a second... I'm a teacher with summers off.. Maybe I should wake up before 8:30 some days. (jk. I wish the babies would let me sleep until 8:30am).
I'll try that.

Today's workout was a great success. I felt strong and I got a huge pump from the NO3 (despite taking it shortly after eating dinner).
Standing db curls: 5x15 (40lbs) those last couple sets were brutal but I somehow found the energy to finish all the reps. Sets of 15 can be so boring unless you're 100% focused and intese.
V-grip tri pushdowns: 5x15 (98lbs) These felt good. I wish the stack machine had one more stack for me to really torture myself.
Preacher curls: 5x15 (first three sets with 75lbs) (last two sets with 65lbs)
Galileo Tri Machine: 5x15 (80lbs) I don't love this machine. It's a weird pushing angle.
Reverse grip EZ curls: 5x15 (55lbs)
Rope Tri pushdowns: 5x15 (67lbs)
Single arm cable curls: 3x12 (six stacks... however much weight that is)
db tri kickbacks: 3x15 (15lbs) my arms were feeling like jello at this point.
bb forearm curls: 4x20 (wrists up 60lbs) (wrists down 40 lbs) Great vasularity in arms! I wish I had my camera with me tonight.
seated toe raise machine: 3x30 (180lbs)
Cardio: Actually skipped the cardio tonight. It was getting late and I had to get home for a big dvd date with my wife. I rented four movies, but we ended up watching Drop Dead Diva and the baby started crying. Maybe tomorrow.
Notes: I'd love it if I could get an arms workout like this every week. Here is an honest fact: I wore a cut off shirt to the gym for the first time in years. You know what that means. I'm getting more confident and happy with my body. I'm not there yet, but I'm taking some serious steps in the right directions. I haven't been using this stack for too long but I can already tell I'm a huge fan of it.
If I lift tomorrow, it would be my shoulder and lats day. I'm a little nervous because my shoulder has been acting up a little bit as of late. I'm hoping the R3 helps with that. If it feels better tomorrow, I'll either go ahead with my shoulder routine or maybe I'll take the day off anyway just to give it another day to rest. I doubt I'll decide to take the day off once I wake up and start browsing bb.com. No pain no gain.

Yeah you're in for a treat. I've really seen a difference in my pumps and veins whilst taking c4 and no3. C4 by itself does contain NO3 so I'd be curious to see how much of the benefits one would get from the small amount of NO3 in C4.
And then the R3 is a great way to end a tough workout, but it's hard to visually see the results of taking R3. I just like popping caps right after a workout and washing them down with a protein shake. Speaking of protein. Does Cellucor make a good protein? For financial reasons, I'm taking a cheap protein. It seems to work okay, but it's not advanced or great tasting.
