Minor quibble - it takes a lot more of the screen. Velocityrob in the post about me contributed one line, but because of all the stuff on the left, it has the equivalent to fifteen lines of text. It just seems a waste of space. I's especially annoying that it takes up more space on the list when you skim through the topics to see which you want to read. Most of us don't have the luxury of time to read every topic, and reducing the number of topics you can see on the page wastes time (queue next page, wait for it to load, etc).

Hey there,

Obviously no one likes ads, but I will say that Ronnie ad really fits in well with the overall theme/layout of the website. Like I said, I don't like ads, but being that they are obviously a necessity, this ad space is well used and unobtrusive.
