    Overview:

    Bench was pretty hard today. Harder than I felt it should've been. Was way low on energy today, dunno what was goin on. Even when I was gripping the bar on the very first workset, my body felt like a gas tank running on empty. All that being said, I was able to hit my reps, and finish the sets. Maybe I didn't do a good enough job of carbing up, not sure.

    Went lighter on the accessories. Sets of 245 next week. Next workout though, more light squats and see how the glute responds.
    Way low on energy and still knocking 240 for 3 x 5, impressive!

    Overview:

    I'm doing squatting by feel right now. The 275 triple felt a lot better than I thought it would. I could've had 5, but just decided to stay with the triple for now. For some reason, I decided to close my stance a little. It wasn't completely Oly-style, but I closed my stance and my feet were pointed in a slight angle. Maybe consciously I did it to take the stress off of my hammies/glutes.

    Bench today felt ok. The second set of 245 didn't feel all that great and the last rep was even a slight grinder. Bounced back on the last set and it went up a lot better. Really gonna try and make the effort to eat like crazy, because I've made it back to my arch nemesis weight of 250, which I've never done for even 1 set of 5 reps, let alone do it for 3 sets of 5...

    Good to see your squats are getting back up there with no pain. When do you think you'll start introducing some volume?

    Nice job with the bench, sounds like you're going to smash through that 250.

    Thx man. As far when I'll get back to volume, I honestly don't know. Like I said, just playin it by feel for right now. But if things go well this week, I'll probably start volume again the following week.

    I definitely hope I get 3x5 of 250. Been haunting me for a few months now...

    I think you need to stick to linear progression rather than going by feel.

    edit - perhaps try the russian progression.

    No, I just meant that I'm going by feel as far as easing my way back into moderate squatting or increasing volume. I want to go back to the linear 3x5, just trying to figure out when and if I've had enough rehab time to go back to 3x5 now. That's all. lol

    No it's actually a good thing, low bar, regardless of how narrow you make your stance puts more emphasis on the PC than high bar due to your torso be forced forward. The fact that you squatted 275 like that, despite the narrower stance, and still didn't feel any pain is a good indicator.

    Nice work dude
    I'd try to get in some squat volume even if its at light weights. Volume at lighter weights seems like it would be more beneficial than a couple heavier singles
