Damn, very nice man! I'd love to get there someday.
Thanks. I went up 20 pounds on my bench in a little less than a month. I learned a little something through that too.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

    Smile 315

This my 315 lb. bench press. I've had it for a few weeks but just got around to getting a video of it. I weigh 184 and I'm 44.

It won't let me add a link because I haven't reached my 50 posts yet. It's at youtube.com/watch?v=wtZB-s9Xy3k&feature=youtu.be

You just have to add the three Ws to the front of that.

    Some impressive lifts in here!

No video since I can't bring in my phone at work but I progressed from 225 up through 10lb increments till I was able to do 275X2. It took me three tries but I was then finally able to get 285X1 up.

I benched my body weight to see how many times I could bench it and got 19. This is my first time doing it in a long time and I usually get better after doing it a few times. 155 x 19 this time and last year I did 145 x 18 after a couple weeks.

Damn, I'd love to be able to do that some day, I'm only able to get 5 reps now. Amazing work man.

I really like the entire 5/3/1 concept. That was an impressive set man, way to stick with those last reps. You should be getting pretty close to 315 if you haven't hit already.

I saw you were at a 280 bench when you started the 315 challenge. If you warm up minimally youll get 320 - 330 x 1 right now. I do 165 x 10 205 x 3 (im holding back on the first two sets) 255 x 1 to arrive at my max. Go for the 315 now its yours for sure.

I appreciate the enthusiasm, really, but I am not quite there yet

The gap is, however, getting much smaller, quickly.
