Ruh Roh...Polygamy may be legal before gay marriage.

Guy from Sister Wives just sued the state of Utah saying their polygamy law was unconstitutional.

Actually, depends on culture among other things. One culture has had a long tradition of women marrying multiple husbands.

and of course by limiting people's options, you actually are not even letting people find out whether you're actually correct or not, which I find hilarious.
Anyways, suppose a woman has a baby's daddy and a sugar daddy, lol. Why wouldn't someone do that? Same goes for a guy. Suppose they have a family with one person and just have fun with another (or maybe a kid with each, who knows?). Point is, I don't see any reason there should be any legal restrictions.
As for what would *actually* happen, we can't really know until we let people decide for themselves, and it's not necessarily something that would stay static over time.

Exactly, and thanks to more places having more market-oriented economies than in the past, women *are* gaining more power, influence, and financial independence. We're familiar with it here in the US, but as more places around the world (hopefully) begin making these sorts of changes, more and more women around the world will have a greater say in the kinds of lives they wish to have. I don't think it's a coincidence that wealthier places tend to be more socially liberal.

Interestingly, this topic came up in my real life just recently.
I was at a restaurant and a Chinese guy was sitting at a table nearby with a good looking (but extremely slutty) young girl. They were flirting heavily and he gave her a bunch of presents. He had a travel bag with him, so it was obvious he was traveling, probably on a business trip. Then I noticed his wedding ring.
I got talking with my girlfriend, who was born in China. Apparently it is socially unacceptable for a powerful man (wealthy, in government, etc) NOT to have a second or even third wife. Technically, legally, it is not allowed, but these women are considered as wives by society. If you are rich and/or powerful and only have one wife, other powerful and/or rich men will shun you because they'll think there is something wrong with you.
I asked why the 1st wife allows her husband to do this. Answer: they have no choice. They often know, but they are PURELY housewives with no resources/skills/job of their own. They are 100% dependent on the man for their life. Even if they hate the idea of their husband phucking another girl or two (or even having 2nd or 3rd FAMILIES) they can't do anything about it.
In fact, one successful business man I know has a family here in China and another one in the US. His family in the US is WELL OFF but his kids basically don't have a father. His wife has a huge mansion with a pool, three cars, 2 kids, a live-in nanny... but her kids have no dad since they only see him once or twice a year.I've been cold at the podium since break-dancing on linoleum.
