I'm in a keeper league and there is another owner in my league who wants Carlos Santana really bad.
I'm thinking of offering him Santana for Sandoval. What do you think?
Right now I have McGhee at 3rd (who is killing me)and my backup catcher is Saltalamachia.
Salty is coming around. He's putting up good numbers this year and on the verge of meeting the expectations that he was projected for when he came into the league.
I think Santana will be the player everyone expects. I think his knee injury was pretty serious and his down avderage might be a little lingering result of the injury. I expect him to achieve a higher BA next season, with similar OBP and similar SLG.
Does this trade sound fair, if not slightly skewed in my favor? Does Sandoval have the athleticism to keep playing 3rd for the rest of his career? Is his weight going to be an issue going forward?
This is a very large (16 teams), deep league. Owners typical carry 1 or 2 players who are still in the minors as future prospects. It's a keeper league with up to 12 keepers every year.
