Shot at the Team U yesterday. I'm pretty sure this guy was in a short docu that Mike Pulcinella did not too long ago (reps for posting the vid since I can't find it).
People like this have no business being on stage. I mean, I'm all for encouraging the people who really try and put a lot of effort into what they do, but this guy doesn't seem to be doing that. He's just delusional.

this is gonna be JG sooner or later lol all kidding aside theres usually someone like this at every show, you know the one guy who thinks its his show to lose.... i remember at my first contest there was a dude who was fat, pale and didnt even have posing trunks he was in dang underwear! im just like well ok then.... personally i think they will let anybody in to compete because they all have to pay the entry fees and whatnot, i really see no other way.. just my 2c

My friends and I are always on the lookout for "THAT guy". There's at least one at every show. At my last show, one guys showed up in running shorts and hiked them up so they looked like posing trunks. He was going on and on backstage about how he was "really into Dorian's HIT style of training".
That said, stuff like this isn't really the best promotion for the sport. I mean, it's a very fine line when you talk about not allowing people to compete...but this case would be pretty clear cut.

LOL'd at the running shorts! ya i rember i was laying on my back with my feet up and just wishd the teens next to me would just shut up about how they train and how much they can lift, the antics back stage are priceless, but i agree with ya there should be some minimum requirement for the athletes to compete, tbo if i was in the audience i know i would be making rude commentsI train therefore I am

It's hard to feel sorry for him. Despite how embarrassed I'd be to walk on stage looking like that in a bodybuilding competition - he really doesn't seem to mind. Like the vid says, he's delusional.
If you could get enough of these guys to show up at the same local competition, it would make for one heck of an entertaining "intermission".

This really isn't that different from those who go on to auditions on talent shows like Idol or the like, despite the fact that they cannot sing, cannot dance and cannot hold a note if their life depended on it.
It's one thing to feed an illusion in the shower or in front of the mirror, but it takes a special kind of retard to stand in front of a bunch of people (and viewers) despite a lack of talent that is so blazingly obvious to anyone else. I cringe when I watch those things, I get embarrased on their behalf.
In a way it is sad though, since I'm sure many of them also have received encouragement from someone else, whether to be just funny or because they wanted to make fun of them. At that point, I do feel kind of sorry for them, but that is - off course - hard to verify.
On the other hand, you cannot prevent these type of people from entering smaller contests, because that's exactly what they are meant for: weeding out the retards. It's what made Simon Cowel into a household name.“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.” - Earnest Benn

Definitely. In fact, that's part of what makes money on talent shows! The auditions are sometimes more popular than the final stages and there is always a 'rejects' sing at the final where they bring the worst of the worst back so sing together - although everyone knows these people are fcuked up, they still want to see them 'perform'

Indeed, and this is again part of human psyche. Like people stopping to watch the scene of a car accident. We revel in other's misery.
I do wonder how many who follow bodybuilding who would rather NOT have those guys on stage compared to those who would appreciate the retard value in it? I'd say the percentage of bodybuilder fans who welcome those guys on stage is less than the percentage of viewers of American Idol who like to see the retarded male, emo kid trying to sing "I will always love you".“Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it whether it exists or not, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedy.” - Earnest Benn
