Also, MMA is more like street fighting. you can't bob n weave in a street fight.

Tyson has a history of knocking down taller/bigger fighters. He'd have no trouble taking down a middle weight MMA fighter in his prime.

You guys have to realize how powerful a punch or even a jab from prime tyson really is. TO get hit with his bare fists at close range ?

Strong misunderstanding of a boxing gloves purpose. They're intended to prevent the fighter from breaking their hands. In reality you can hit someone harder wearing a glove due to the added weight. Bare knuckle boxing matches used to go on forever back in the day because you couldn't hit with full force or goodnight sweet knuckles.

Silva is a better Martial artist, because he's a martial artist. you can argue that one may be better than the other relative to their own sport (IE better boxer compared to other boxers or better martial artist vs other martial artists) but ultimately a fight would come down to whoevers style best matches a street fight

last time i checked kicks, take-downs, slams, ground and pound, and submissions weren't part of the boxing repertoire. regardless of who's the bigger legend or best in their own sport, a mma fighter is going to have a serious leg up in a street fight

its true, big gloves actually increase the rate of serious brain trauma

if you've ever actually been in a fight you realize without gloves you can really, really **** your hands up. a solid punch to the side of someones head can leave you with a couple broken knuckles easy

gloves look like they soften the blow, because you get less cuts and everything, but in reality you're actually transferring more energy from your fist into the opponents head = higher chance of KO

ITT too many young kids who never really knew who Tyson was. He was first and foremost probably one of the most feared street fighters of his time.

Silva not silvia is a great all around martial artist and to my knowledge was not street fighting in Brazil while learning mma.

Out of 100 fights Tyson would beat Silva the majority of the time.
