    Sore legs on leg day

    Today is my leg/shoulder day and I plan to increase my squat from 205 to 215 for 3x5 but the day before I played two hours of volleyball and my right leg is a little bit sore. Should I just do my stuff anyway?

    Yes. Warmup /stretch properly before you go lift and you should be fine.

    Well, despite alot of people not agreeing with static stretches before working out, I found them great for my legs where I had to squat and was sore. Didn't notice any strength decrease whatsoever. Just don't go overboard and stretch your hams or quads for 1 minute straight and you should be fine.

    Do ALOT of warm up sets, just make sure you don't get burned out so you can still increase the weight on squats in the sets that matter.

    Cool thanks for the reply. I really feel like just adding 20 lbs to my squat from 205 to 225 so that its 2 plates. Last time I squatted 205 for 5x5 and it wasnt very hard. Speed was fine even on the last set, is this okay or do I really need to do 10 lb increments?

    Personally, I'd stick to 10 lbs increments, but if you're that eager(typo?) to get it, then go ahead and try it.

    bro i see u got squats and deadlifts its fine if u trying for sports but if ur going for aestheics throw those out its adding muscle is the wrong places, add some more biceps excerise and maybe put a day for abs and chest

    How do squats and DL take away from aesthetics? I need them for sports anyway

    did 4x5x225 today without too much difficulty, only last rep of last set was slow, followed by 7.5 plates of leg press (extra plate maxed at my school gym), very happy with todays workout! will keep trying to increase lifts while on this deficit
