Seems a bit long. Are you working them in a new angle or new exercise? That or how often are you working chest and bis every week?

It could be something new is stimulating the muscles in a new way creating DOMS or you aren't working them out often enough to get over the beginning DOMS. Meaning you get it then enough time goes by you end up getting it again.

It probably means you don't train your muscles frequently enough.

DOMS do not relate to how well or poorly you trained a muscle.

They deminish in time and should never be used as an indicator

Sounds like it. We can only speculate in terms of causes. Typically doms goes away faster if you train more frequently.

Used to get bad DOMS in my legs. Couldn't walk from leg day to leg day.

Best advice I ever got was do a cardio movement immediately post workout that circulated that body part.

    Example

    Legs - biking
    Arms/chest - elliptical.

Do it for a good 10-15 minutes. Nothing crazy in intensity. You just want to get the blood circulating to the areas of the body where acids are going to otherwise accumulate and cause you pain.
    OHP - 225 (Strict Standing)
    Bench - 370 (5rm 325x5)
    Squat - 440 (5rm 385x5)
    Deadlift - ??? :(

Yes it should be... unless you are increasing intensity or working the muscle groups in a new way and thus creating DOMs because it's "new" to your body.

It should go away if you keep at it and don't try any new exercises. Don't be afraid to try new exercises but you have to remember you will likely feel it as you incorporate them.
