After falling in disgrace to a manmore, a ravaged manlet would not hesitate to come from behind and land a sucker punch/ swing with a rock to the back of a manmore's head. Those pads are for serious vaginas. Learn to squat the proper way or just do hack squats or something. Probably wont make much difference at that level.. if you cant even hold a bar on your back w/o a damn pad. If your some shriveled up old man.. then disregard.
I would usually be the last person to come in and make a comment on something like that, but I think there is a consensus that they are just uncomfortable and unsafe.. thus the only reason why you would use one is the fact that your a pussy. I have known plenty of kids that were not very physically gifted that could hold a bar on their back. I think its just a disgrace to use one continuously unless you have some legitimate injury.
I think a kid on my HS weightlifting team would use one and one of the coaches actually made fun of him and tormented him a lot, I think he actually called him pussy once out loud. This coach was a prick and it was pretty funny, I actually felt sorry for the kid. He wore gloves too.. and smelled pretty bad.
I think it comes down to.. do it right or don't do it at all.Last edited by Robb817; 07-07-2011 at 12:46 AM.
Eats booty like groceries crew
Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

I used one the first few times I was being taught how to squat back when i was 15. It changes the way you support the bar and for me personally lessens the stability and total surface area contact the bar makes with my back.
I can think of a few specilaized situation where someone might be better off using one but just like every other aspect of training your body adapts fairly quickly to it. Think back to the first time you did a set of pullups, I'm sure your palms were burning pretty bad, not so much anymore though right?

I'll just leave this here.
Seems like most people who are serious about squatting don't really use the pad no matter their gender or sexual orientation. There is simply no need to bash lgbtq people or female genetalia. As much as we straight dudes like female genitals, we love to throw choice words for them around like they're a bad thing and we don't like them. How do you think that affects your chances of actually getting some?

Just do it
The only drawback is meatheads will be meatheads about it. Which isn't really a shortcoming.
The difference it will make on your training will be minute, as long as your form is spot on. And if your form isn't spot on the pad is not the thing to be worried about.
Use one of it is causing you pain. And **** it use one of you want to use one, some people will want to think they're hard as nails because they don't use one, but they're training isn't helped by that so the only thing hard is their sculls

Good grief.
This thread degenerated into nonsense 4 years ago, and dredging it back up after all that time didn't make it one bit better. No brain, no gain.
