Help wanted to lose fat and gain muscle

I am deployed to Afghanistan for the next 7 months. My goal while I am here is to gain at least 10 lbs of lean muscle and lose some fat. Is this possible? So far I have been working out twice a day, weights in the morning and cardio in the afternoon. I have a 6 day workout routine then I start it over: back, tris, legs, chest, bis, shoulders/hamstrings. It is hard to eat really healthy here as there are limited choices for each meal. Also, I am a pilot so we are very limited as to the supplements we can take, protein is about it. So I ordered IntraPro and MyoFusion.

I am looking for advice on what to do. Is my workout routine good? How much protein should I be taking? What should I be eating? What kind of lifting should I be doing? How much cardio do I need? Some days we sit in the cockpit for 6 hours, after that the last thing I want to do is workout. If I only get one workout in, is it better to hit the weights or do cardio? Anybody have a good workout that worked for them?

Thanks for any help. Happy Independence Day!

myofusion is excellent that'll help you gain a ton of muscle... even though i just switched from that to a whey isolate.

You can't really gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It's one or the other. You can lose fat and maintain muscle though. Like others will suggest, read the stickies and calculate your calorie and macro needs based on what you want to do. If you want to put on muscle, you have to eat more calories than you burn. If you want to lose fat, you have to eat less calories than you burn. It's that simple. If you want to lose fat and don't want to lose muscle, you have to lift heavy and eat enough protein. Just read the stickies.

Thanks for the advice. I am thinking about trying to gain 15-20 lbs while I am here and then try to lean out when I get back, maybe with Insanity or something like that.
