    what is worse - fat or carbs?

    what is worse in maintaining like abs? i was looking at buying some peanut butter, it either comes in low fat or low carbs, not both. suggestions?

    Neither is worse. You can cut just as effectively on either one. Some people do Keto (low carbs) and some people do 40/40/20 (protein, carbs, fats) or something similar.

    Maintaining like abs? I assumed you're talking about getting fat. Neither turns into fat automatically. Calorie surplus turns into fat.

    If you need to fill up your fat intake, take fat. Plus, it's good to increase your hormone or something.

    If you need energy, take carbs. Carbs also make you full more imo.

    option c- neither.

    Caloric deficit, regardless of macro-nutrient type will allow you to achieve low enough body fat % to see abs.

    you get abs from losing fat, you lose fat by cutting calories. It doesn't matter where you're calories come from, beyond getting enough protein to preserve muscle, getting enough fat for hormonal levels and stuff, and carbs for energy.

    I guess the best answer to this is: Neither..and both. Many people on here seem to have success from cycling between fat and carbs as opposed to just doing low carb or low fat. And me personally I seem to crave carby stuff way more now than I used to. For some reason just fats or proteins don't satisfy as much as they used to.
