Just wondering whats the best food to eat/drink that results in the fastest way to get out of a catabolic state.
Looking for something nutritional.
Situation: Went out to a barbecue, ate some chicken and steak had a few drinks throughout the night (coctails w/ soda(emtpy calories)) and seven hours later I come home and the first thing I want to do is eat, obviosly.
I know the effects of alchohol on the body, and that is not the point here.
Stats: I am 140, 5'9 (skinny ectomorph) so I have to keep my calories up. I have been progressing at the gym and with weight. I decided on carbs to give a quick burst and protien (frosted shredded wheats and milk).
