What's the best jeep specific forum? I'm on the hunt for a tj that's already built (nothing crazy but something that's already got decent suspension and lockers) and has been well cared for. I'm sure I'd find a nicer example on an enthusiast site rather than finding one off Craigslist.

Do not buy one that's already built pls
Everyone here knows what they have done in their own lifted and built Jeeps.
I would never buy my own Jeep if I would know what had been done to it and what it's been through.
Just because you might be looking on enthusiast sites does not mean they are any better taken care of than ones on craigslist
Building one and adding your own stuff is more than half the fun.Winter is not coming

I post at Wranglerforum.com
But finding what you're looking for is tough and a roll of the dice. Most people who build their rigs take them off road and put them through the paces. However, this is not always the rule. I know a guy here in Denver that has a 2012 JK Rubicon 3.5 lift, 35's, and the supporting mods and the thing has literally never seen worse then a grassy field. True mall crawler and would be great pickup. Just remember getting the actual truth out of the original owner is the hard part. When I traded in my 2012 Rubicon I replaced all my scrapped skid plates with someone who had new ones. Boom..."never offroad"

I agree with you guys 100%. Building >>>>>>buying someone else's project. However, why pay a ton of money for mods when I can just let someone else eat all the costs. If I look around long enough I'm sure I can find a rig that was built the right way, using quality parts for way cheaper than I could build it. I'm sure I can find some mall crawler for a good price.BJJ crew

Give it another shot here. Anyone running Teraflex 9550 shocks? Really, really leaning towards these now. 9.5" travel in the front and 10" in the rear? In. Just can't find any info on them besides guys buying their first lift and saying "yea their great!" with no comparative experience.

i agree. tons of guys around here take huge losses on their built rigs. stuff with one tons, locked, hydraulic steering, etc. then they sell them when they get 90% done becuase they don't have time to finish it or don't have time to wheel after all or whatever.
to build a a real off road rig would take a year or so. so no off roading for a year while all you do is work on your junk. or.. .buy someone else's, finish it and go wheeling almost immediately.
i love buidlilng stuff and can build anything I want but you want to know what I like even more? going wheeling.Squat 525, 495x5
