Well the rear diff on my cherokee started leaking like a sob. Gonna buy a new plug and reseal it. Hearing mixed things. Some say use a gasket and some rtv. Some say use just rtv on the diff cover.

Probably going to sell my XJ soon. Hoping to replace it with a TJ.

it is man.. that water fall is normally where a lot of the rock crawling goes down.. its called little blue if you want to look it up on youtube... there are actually quite a few big rock crawl events held here every year.. its a pretty popular spot.. right now the dam is open so there isnt much rock crawling going on.. but the trails offer plenty of everything you would want to get into anyway..

What's up mofos? Been a while since I've posted in here. Sold my TJ back in 2012 and just bought it back at the beginning of June lmao. The dude who I bought it from only put 16k miles on it, so I figured what the hell and bought it back. So far I've been tightening up a whole bunch of crap that was kind of neglected; johnny joint rebuilds, fluid changes, alignment, etc.

it's ok, there are a few places to go but they're all pay to play. Lots of trees, narrow trails and tons of mud if you're into that. Hillclimbs. I prefer it out west with little to no mud and few trees so you can concentrate on wheeling and not worryi8ng about hitting trees or having mud turn an easy trail into something impossible.

yeah everything around here is private land, public land doesn't exist. i don't mind paying it's only like $20 for the day there just isn't much challenging technical stuff. Lots of trails but honestly, i don't need a rig built like mine to run the trails; my jeep was more fun on those.

So...here's the criteria for my next jeep:
TJ wrangler
4.0
5 speed
120k or less
any color except black or yellow (maybe yellow if the deal is right)
as close to stock as possible (most mods I would want is lift and tires)
How difficult is it going to be to find one for $8k or less? Also how common are dual top TJ's?
Friend of mine just picked up a 1997 4.0 5 speed soft top. 120k miles. Bone stock except for BFG 33x12.50s. He paid $6k for it. It's in good shape except for a little surface rust on the driver side front fender. Also looks like it was a pavement princess it's whole life.Your life will never be a straight path.”

A deal like that is an impossibility in California where I'm currently living, you're looking at more of a $9-10k price tag out here. Especially with a crap lift and tires, because people out here get the cheapest **** on their Jeeps so a bro will buy it for extra money. Good luck on your search.
