Whatever they can do to draw attention to themselves.
And if they actually do something (which usually involves academia or some kind of white collar success) they loudly proclaim it to the world, how independent they are, how they don't need men, how they overcame such huge odds, etc.

Last time I went on holiday I rode elephants, play-wrestled a tiger, border jumped, ate tarantula, hung out with a group of monks, who later tattooed my back with a 1.5 ft spike dipped in a mixture of charcoal, palm oil and pit viper venom, oh and went balls deep in sluts left and right. Maybe everyone you know is just a huge ******* op.

it has nothing to do with travelling, or women, just some peoples need to prove themselves. What's much worse than what op described are little ****s in their first year of their philosophy class in college going around regurgitating everything their prof said to try and sound all deep and full of wisdom. These are the same people who ride fixed gear bikes everywhere and wear hipster clothes and think buy eating at small local cafes and sitting in coffee shops that they are out to make a difference in the world.

I personally like learning about different people and different cultures, it's why I like meeting and talking to foreign people.
But taking 1,000 pictures to validate a vacation is imo unnecessary. Enjoy the memories. We take pictures of stuff that is important not every single thing to show off.You are your thoughts. Life is perception, thoughts are perception, perception is reality ergo thoughts are reality, I think therefore I am.

never said that, never gloated, never boasted.
honestly, at this point it sounds like a personal problem. I went traveling for me, to make some friends and to experience something different. Sharing some of my fondest memories of that experience with others somehow means I'm berating you?
No, if you feel that upset about someone telling you about some of their favorite memories, then there's a problem with YOU, fool. BRB, my grandpa talking about his war stories is a *******, talks like he's so cool and adventurous for taking a bullet in the ass. You're an ass hat.**New Jersey Crew (732)**

I like the countdowns they put til their trip
and then AS SOON as they get there
"landed in Spain! live laugh love!"
twenty minutes later
"at the HOTEL!! tee hee!"
an hour later:
"out with the GIRLS in SPAIN"
1.5 hours later
*pic of cocktail/beach*
2.0 hours later
*pic of some historic place*
2.5-3.0 hours later
*pics of slutty friends, sunset, more cocktails*

Travelling is great but what really makes you grow is living abroad. That makes you learn so much about life and yourself. Also, I dislike the kind of backpacker who travels halfway around the world only to stay in hostels and watch dvds with other backpackers while they slouch about in ugly clothes and dreadlocks. They think they are really authenthic but the locals just wonder why rich kids can't dress nice.

This is my sister in law to a tee. Actually met up with her and bro in the States. Takes BS photos of everything...myspace angles of a god damn food we ordered. It's a burger and fries you stupid idiot. Take 5 shots in front of the bridge because her hair was messing up in the wind. Try and put me down because i am not a big traveler and she is a 'seasoned traveler'... End of New York trip still can't even navigate around the city or know which train to catch for christ's sake. Biatch didn't contribute a cent because she is a spoiled idiot and 'your brother's money is our money'.
