    Staff Sgt. Robert B. Cowdrey, 39, of Atwater, Ohio, died Oct. 13 in Kunar province, Afghanistan, from injuries suffered during combat operations. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.

    The Department of Defense announced today the deaths of four soldiers who were supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

    They died Oct. 29, in Kabul province, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked their vehicle with a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.

    Killed were:

    I talked to him almost everyday on the radio as we flew overhead support for his patrol. Attended the ramp ceremony a few days ago, really heartbreaking to see his platoon. Especially considering he was less than 14 days away from going home. RIP A-46, see you on the green. Thank you for updating this thread Nutsy, it's an honor to these guys and their families.
