    Question Back to the basics

    Hello all,

I have been at the same weight and size for around a year now and I was told by a fellow Officer of mine that I needed to get back to the basic lifts. I have been doing lighter lifts lately and doing around 3 different lifts per muscle group. I had a recent surgery and I am now almost back to full work. I want to get back to the gym (absent for 4 weeks minus eliptical) and I wanna focus on gaining some size. My diet is pretty in check. Upped my protein and I eat pretty damn clean. Not crazy...I like to enjoy food too. Squats, bench, deadlift. Just need to get the basics for size gains. Should I stick to only doing 1 muscle group a week? Any advice will help. I am always willing to put the time into the gym, and I know it doesn't happen over night. Pics in profile are pretty much what I look like now.

    Thanks!

    -Justin

I do that. I train every bodypart 1 time a week. I go balls out then let stuff heal up good. But you need to figure that out for yourself it may not be enough for you it may be just right. I definately think its a good starting point to get you back in the gym.

Basics.. Very important to me I would tailor each body part around those benches squats and deads.

If you want to put on some size remember you need to up your calories above maintenance and get lots of rest and plenty of protein. Sounds like you know the drill.

    Good luck to you sir
