Out Train A Bad Diet - AKA You Bet Your Ass I Want Dessert
OK, this is my "experiment" to see if I can out-train a bad diet.
CURRENT STATS
5'10", 173lbs, 30.75" waist, ~9-10%BF
RULES
Pretty simple. If I am hungry I will eat. Whatever I want. I will still try to get in at least 100g of protein a day, hopefully more.
I will drink at least 1 gallon of water a day.
SUPPLEMENTS
Caffeine - 200mg once or twice a day. Mostly for energy and partially for diuretic purposes.
TRAINING
Six days a week, first thing in the morning, grueling. Combination of heavy compound movements and hard cardio.
GOAL
To stay the same BF% without dieting.
WHY DO THIS?
Because I love food and dieting sucks.

There was a college football player who managed to do this a while back. He'd do extra sessions and just eat like crap all the time. Pizzas and burgers and stuff. He was shredded.
Fat Loss
11/09-3/11 415->364
3/11 - 5/11 - 364->348
5/11 - 6/11 - still 348
6/3/11 - 9/3/11 - 348 ->328
9/1/11 - 12/31/11 - 328-> ?

I know athletes out-train crappy diets all the time. I remember seeing something on ESPN years back. They were following an upcoming draft pick in the NBA or NFL, I don't remember. Anyways, they show him "grocery" shopping. Dude was buying Fruity Pebbles, Twinkies, etc. Just total junk food. So ya, it can be done. I don't plan on being a total gluten though, just want to eat when I want and what I want. Doesn't seem like asking for too much.

I'll save you the time. You can kind of out train a bad diet. It's all calories in versus calories out. This makes me think of the time when I was 17 and dropped from 180 down to 140 all while eating 1 big meal of whatever I wanted a day and on weekends I'd have 1 pretty ridiculous meal that was usually high in fat, my favorite thing at the time was eating 2 B.K. whoppers with cheese and heavy mayo. That cut actually went pretty decent for me but I was pretty active and lifting a decent amount.
"There's a lot of 5'11 200-225 lbs guys with 10-12% body fat on the Internet. In reality, their "10-12%" body fat is more like 15% body fat or more. Everyone thinks they're on their way to single digit body fat as soon as they see a blurry four-pack in the right lighting. Your final body weight at 5-6% will be a lot less than what you think. Talk to me again when you get in contest shape."

Ya, I understand the calories in/calories out dealio. I just cut from 190 to 173 using that method. Works great as long as you don't mind hating life and being hungry. I know for a 100% fact you can out-train a diet. The question is can I out-train my bad diet?

Yes, you can. Of course the term "diet" is subjective. Also, some people consider a bad diet a bad diet for different reasons.

Hey will you do something for me today? Go get a burger from Burger king, but get the french fries from McDonald's... That's obese. I've always wanted to do it but never had the fat courage.

LOL. You're supposed to get Mcdonald's burgers and Burger King fries(they taste more like potatoes IMO). I did that about 2 weeks ago.

I'm pretty sure Burger King isn't even serving meat anymore, sure it's flame broiled but wtf is it? I'd much rather eat Boca burgers, way better IMO. I actually like Mcdonald's burgers and hit up those Mcdoubles for some decent protein on the cheap.

I don't think BK or McD's serves real meat.

I honestly don't even care if it's real meat or not as long as it tastes something like real meat and has protein.

Not exactly. It has to due with carb intake, glycogen, water intake and it goes on and on. There are a lot of things that can cause something like this. Fast shifts in weight though are from a bowel movement or losses in water weight.
