Background Info
I have been lifting seriously for about 11 years. Nutrition has always been my downfall. I decided to change that this year. I am set to compete in my first natural bodybuilding show in October. I have a long battle ahead of me to get into contest shape. I am hoping that Beast will help me get there.
Diet
I am following the Game Over Diet by Scivation. You can look it up here at bodybuilding.com for more info or follow allong as I will be posting detailed nutrition in here as well.
Workout
The workout I am using is also part of the Game Over diet. Here is the basic split though:
Mon - Chest & Abs
Tues - Back
Wed - Off
Thurs - Delts & Traps
Fri - Arms & Calves
Sat - Legs & Abs
Sun - Off
Starting Pics
I don't usuall take pics like this but I am starting the OBF now too so I just added them here.
Front Relaxed
Side Relaxed
Back Relaxed
Optional 1
Optional 2
First workout and review will be posted tomorrow morning!

WORKOUT
Back - Workout B
Warm-up sets in grey
Rests at 60-90 seconds
2 minutes or so for Deads
Chins
10 reps
9 reps
8.5 reps
I don't really do Chins with palms facing me that often. I was pretty happy to hit 10 on the first set. I will hope to gain reps here each week!
Deadlift (no straps)
45x15
135x10
225x10
225x10
225x10
I was winded as hell after these. I forgot how much this rep range hurts on Deadlifts. I will bump these up 10 lbs or so next time!
Lat Pulldowns
100x15
140x10
140x10
140x10
Again these felt great but I can probably bump them up a notch next time!
Seated Cable Rows
85x15
120x10
120x10
120x10
Bump up a notch next time!
CARDIO
Walk on the track with Sister

I really loved the focus and intensity I got off of this product the first time. I didn't follow the advice of longhorns_p and mix it with more water than prescribed. It was way too sweet this way. Now I know why he told me to mix it with more. I am going to try it today with 16oz of water. So far I am diggin it though.

THOUGHTS
Another day with no slip-ups
I remember thinking that the volume for back was too low on this program. I do not feel like that is the case today. My back is thoroughly sore in a good way. I will be squishing a workout in today and tomorrow so that I can go golfing on Friday!

Haven't tried those flavors, but tbh, I've killed any chance of trying them again by trying them in the first place
yeah, I've tried red hot, chalula, habenaro sauce, chives, etc... it just plainly sucks
oh, and your "payoff" pics are teh awesome! lol
EDIT: I knew I had an actually question/comment about your lifts... for the skull crushers, do you sit or stand? I try to do them standing but my back hurts (even with a bended knee) and sitting down hurts me even more... how do you do them
EDIT: or are the skullcrushers using a W bar? or DB? OK, I'll shut up now...till we meet again

Golf
Well I did well if the goal was calorie burn. I am not so good at golf. I scored a 105 which is just slightly under my average of 110. I know to golfers this is horrible but for me it was pretty decent. I am hoping to break 100 at least once this year.
All in all it was a fun day. Well except for the other guys teasing me while I ate my broccoli and had my shake while they were eating hotdogs and beer. I did have my first cheat here. I had a bourbon an coke. That is where it stopped though. It was a great fun day.

I decided to take weekly weigh ins and waist measurements to track my progress. Here is the first weeks results:
Starting Weight: 253.0 lbs
This weeks Weight: 244.2 lbs
For a loss of: 8.8 lbs!!!
I am happy with this! I obviously expect a smaller number this week and know that some of this was water weight, but I am still damn proud of it.
I also took a waist measurement at the beginning of this too.
Starting Waist: 44 inches
This Week: 42 inches
For a loss of: 2 inches!
That is a good week!

for the front squats, your hand placement seems ok (from what I could see). try pointing your elbows up more, which will push you back further when you go down into the hole. You kinda look like you are leaning fwd as you hit parallel which may be the reason for the bar slipping fwd.
for the lunges, some people "walk" with the dumbbells so they are alternating... if you don't have the space for it, its fine with what you are doing thoughLast edited by DanND33; 07-05-2011 at 08:16 AM.

Soccer
Not much activity today, but I did get in 2 45 minute sessions of playing soccer with Eva and a few of Erica's Stepdad's family kids. 2 of them are from England and are a little too good (ages 7 and 12)
I know both times I got a good sweat going. Eva was out playing with us and was not paying attention at one point because she was eating some cheese. Well of course a ball comes flying at her and I can't get over in time to stop it. It bonks her on the head and she goes down in the grass. I run over expecting to hear a loud scream.
I pick her up and...
Me: Are you OK?
Eva: (in a mad voice) He knocked my cheese! I need more cheese! (looks right at the kid who kicked the ball) Get me more cheese!
Me: Eva thats not nice (trying not to laugh)
Eva: (still in mad voice) Get me more cheese! please!
Me: That is better!
She cracks me up.

About 45 minutes of digging plants up
I went and picked up a plant from a local freecycler. If you don't know what that is google it and join a group. I got some tiger lillies and a few different types of ground cover. All for Free. I have gotten lots of cool things here. It is also a great place to get rid of stuff that you don't want anymore.

Have never seen people do these in my gym but read about doing skull crushers using an EZ bar on a cable. It keeps tension on the tricep at all times. When performing the movement with free weight, you are only lifting the movement against gravity. With a cable, you are lifting the weight up (gravity) and forward (forehead to chest)

These were awesome. I could go a little heavier but today I just focused on getting a tight squeeze at the top of each one. My traps are sore today!
So today I rode my moped to work. For those that are new to my journals, I have a moped that I ride when the weathers nice. Yes I know it looks hilarious. That is most of the reason I got one. So anyway.... I had to pack everything up in my gym bag for the day. I had my lunch packed in with my clothes, which I put in the fridege here as soon as I got to work. Well I got out of the shower at the gym and got my shirt out of my gym bag and $hit! the oil from my lunch spilled all over my shirt. Not only did this stain it up, but it also smelled like indian spices that I used in my lunch. So I had to wear my Hulk cut-off sleeve shirt to work Oh well. Speaking of that here is a post workout shoulder vain pic

THOUGHTS
I felt good again today. Energy was up. I am pumped for this baby to come already. I have no idea how I am going to stay clean during all that, but I will just have to do my best. Erica is due the end of this month for those counting down the days like me.
