Kai could use more traps, but he is not getting it.
This isn't like your back (meaning the whole back - proportional growth) or your legs where you can make it grow. His traps are going nowhere without site enhancement oils. And god do I pray he doesn't get tempted to ever use them on his damn traps.
I personally think Kai is maxed out on muscle gain. There is no way he is getting bigger muscle wise than he already is. And he does not need it. What he needs is to get insanely conditioned.

His bdb is pretty good; though, those cuts could be a bit deeper and more pronounced. But his smoothness and lack of detail is especially apparent on the reverse lat spread (beautiful width, though).
Compare it to the detail in the reverse lat spread of Phil (note, I'm using Phil to show what we mean by detail. Phil of course has a good bit of work to do yet on areas such as width):

Now tell me, why do you feel that bodybuilding is the only sport in existence where people cannot attempt to discuss the specific strengths and weaknesses of the athletes that participate in the sport? Bodybuilding is about presenting a physique on stage; fans have a right to comment on and qualify the various strengths/weaknesses of a given bodybuilder. Overall mass, conditioning, balance between muscles, and apparent weaknesses should be discussed in the same way that hockey fans discuss goals, assists, skating ability, defensive/offensive capability, and toughness of hockey players.
Of course, you'll still get your fair share of idiots who don't know wtf they are talking about.
Of course, you'll still get your fair share of idiots who are only here to insult a specific bodybuilder who they don't like.
Of course, you'll still get your fair share of idiots who cannot handle any objective criticism of a bodybuilder just because they like them.
Still, why else would we be in a forum titled "IFBB Pro Bodybuilding" if not to discuss the actual sport?

1- that was not the topic.
2- create a thread concerning that?
Onto the topic at hand.
Phil- needs widthr....all that is needed. Top three at the O.....will be a threat.
Kai- not too sure of the whole "traps needs work" concept. Needs to hit his conditioning, not like last year. A mass monster who will be top 3 at the O....a legit threat.
Branch- Hard as nails....dry and grainy. Arms could be better but who cares to be honest. Those legs and conditioning make up for them.
Jay- Not a fan at all and never have been. Very nice guy in person and I respect him as a bodybuilder but he is very blocky. One side of his body (arms and legs) are noticeably smaller.
This will be a fun show to watch come Sept!

thought i'd post some said flaws...
for those wondering, here's a worthless back...
obvious arm symmetry issues...
high lats...(i heard a rumor wolf was actually born without lats and since his shoulders were so big he just flexes his rear delts for lat spreads and BDBs)
and a hideous t-rex...what competitive bodybuilder would EVER want to look this bad...
i left your blatantly blowing kai critique alone. two things kai has yet to bring to stage against cutler...size and conditioning. IF he does it will be a show worth seeing.
in the end, what some have so easily disregarded as horrible are still fantastic. you could take the "worst" of each of these guys, frankenstien the parts and still end up with a pro card bber that looks better than all of us here. sometimes i think it serves us well to keep these accomplishments in mind. wolfs high lats or phil's narrow structure is not a slight against them, but rather a true compliment to kai's low hung bat wings and jay's mack truck shoulder width...just as many of these characteristics could be exchanged comparatively.
is a little perspective too much to ask?___________________________________________________________
