    Creatine while doing just cardio?

So basically for the next 2 months or so ill be doing all cardio with strict diet do lose all my stomach fat (1:30hr a day 6x a week 600-700 calories burned a day) eating around 1000-1250 calories a day. It may seem low but im only 5'6 132pounds. Anyways during this hardcore cardio phase I have been taking creatine to preserve what little muscle I have and for more energy. But will it effect my stomach fat loss? I know I will gain water weight but will I lose the fat just as easy on creatine as I would off it?

Bulk, bro. You'll have a lifetime to cut, but you only have these few years with testosterone pouring through every pore of your body.

Eat big, lift heavy. Cut when you finish puberty.

Also, you're not even fat. Maybe 18% body fat.

You're best bet is to add 3 days a week of weightlifting. It's not going to make you look like the Rock or something. All the cardio and diet is good too. Though you're probalby too low on calories (unless you are very short). You are still growing, remember.

You don't have to cut or bulk, really. If you lift weights, do cardio and eat at maintenance, you'll get your six pack. Burn fat, lose no muscle, probably gain a fair bit too.

Cardio alone won't make you look any better.

Start lifting. Newbie gains + testosterone, even on a cut, will yield great results. You won't look like a body builder (which I assume is not what you want). You'll have more LBM, thus less body fat, which will make you look LEANER without even losing any fat at all.

Pick a solid 3 day-split routine, do you cardio as much as you want, eat lots of protein and you'll lose fat, gain muscle, and improve your looks tenfold.

But whats wrong with just focusing on cutting the fat in short period of time, get it out of the way then I can truely work on building my muscles so it is visible. If I were to 100 sit ups and crunches every day for 2 months without getting rid of the fat in my stomach it wouldn't show anything because I need to cut that blubber for any abs to be visible. Do you not agree?

You are telling me to do the exact opposite of what I have read to do. I have read that losing fat + gaining muscle at the same time is almost impossible because to lose fat you need to reduce your calories and to gain muscle you need to increase you calories. So why would you tell me to do this? Am I missing something here?

You're doing this to look better right? Lifting weights, in addition to the cardio and the diet will help, considerably. Lifting weights burns calories and builds muscle. Both of those things mean less fat.

Doesn't work that way. By having more muscle you burn more calories. Also, if you build your abs hardcore (which you can do, since you're in the peak of puberty), you can see abs at the high teens. Abs at 18% is not impossible, but you won't be able to this any time soon if you miss this testosteronic opportunity.

Why are you being so defensive, man? We're trying to help you, so calm down.

Gaining muscle and losing weight at the same time is not impossible. Newbie gains is what we call when you're a first time lifter. Your muscles will grow a LOT independently of being on a caloric surplus or deficit. And since you're in puberty, this means you'll gain even more on a deficit.

    OP do what you want---

to answer your original question, the creatine isn't going to hurt, and might help. It'll make you retain water, so pay more attention tot he mirror than the scale.

Work pushups into your routine too. Pushups are great, and pretty underrated, imo.

Yes im doing it to look better but I dont think you guys understand what my plan is. Its not to cardio straight for the next 10 years I want to do it for a couple months get rid of the fat THEN build my muscle and get ripped. I cant get ripped if my mid section is fat and I cant get rid of fat without burning calories and eating less and I cant get ripped without eating more calories so why not work on one at a time?

why not do both? You can gain muscle in a caloric deficit. You'll get where you want to get to faster, if you start lifting weights, now.

Anyway, just having a pushup routine will build you some upperbody muscle, so if you're leary of barbells, it'll do you some good. Weight is weight.

I cant get ripped if my mid section is fat and I cant get rid of fat without burning calories and eating less and I cant get ripped without eating more calories so why not work on one at a time?

Why do you think fat people lift weights when they don't want to be fat anymore?

Haha, have fun nlite, I'm tapping out of this one. Good luck, you'll need it.

OP: check my progress on my signature. I have gained significant amount of muscle while dropping from 315lbs to 256lbs.

If you go ahead with your plan (that is to say, an extreme cut for a couple months with no weightlifting), you'll lose a bunch of muscle along with the fat and get skinny fat. Then, when you start eating again to bulk, you will have killed your BMR by burning away muscle, and you'll get fat again. By the time you get back to the weight at which you started, you'll have more fat and less muscle than when you originally started, and so your body fat percentage will have gone up, not down.

Do cardio if you want. Eat right and lift always.

just working chest and arms is silly, so he was right.

You are getting informed advice in this thread, ignore it if you want. The post by plastic janus summed it up pretty well.

Okay so doing weights aswell as cardio is what your reccomending right? I am not opposed to changing my plan I just want to get the fat off and keep it off. What if I do some weights at home after my workout with 10 pound dumbells for maybe a half hour? Working a little bit on all my muscle groups would that work?

Yes, and even doing a retarded routine that you put together yourself is going to put some muscle on you because you are new to lifting.

Look up "full body barbell routine" that should get you started in the right direction.

Even doing pushups and chinups + all the cardio you plan would work. I highly recommend pushups, if you haven't guess by now, they'll get you strong pretty quickly.
