Give me your first week College experience

The first week of your freshman year of college. What was it like? Give me a run down on the kind of **** that goes down.

I'll be going in the fall.

amazing, you meet so many new people its insane. everyone parties so hard the first month and the girls are easy. it will be the best month you ever experience.

First week was awesome. Made a lot of friends, explored campus, goofed off, just plain fun.

However the fun abruptly ended during second semester, things suddenly got real difficult in computer science.

if your gonna be in a dorm, meet everyone, form mini cliques (ex. smoker brahs), parties, rush events, ect.

teachers saying "college is harder than high school. let me show you" and proceeding to make the first week incredibly overloaded with work

The first week is awesome. Everyone in the dorms is in the same boat and eager to make friends and find a place to drink. Take advantage cuz cliques form and people become dicks. Informal rush starts pretty much immediately for the frats so try and get recruited cuz you'll get free food and booze and bitches as they try to put on a show to get you to join.

No-one knows eachother so everyone is trying to make friends. Literally talk to everyone and meet as many people as you can. Its completely acceptable and will set you up with a good network of people for the rest of the year. Go to as many events/parties as you can and you'll have an awesome. As for bishes, easiest time to meet them. Gotta love college.

I grew up an LSU fan because my dad went there. I thought I was going to go there until this year. Decided to head to Ok State with a couple friends instead.

Drive to school, sit in class, take notes/listen, go home, repeat 3x a week for a few months and then i was done. community college ftl, 4.0 though since its all 6th grade level work

I know quite a few people going the community college route. It's definitely a money saver. But you don't get the perks of a university.

Just get out there and talk to ppl srs. There were ppl standing around/outside the dorm to meet other people lol.
My first week involved lots of alcohol (yes, despite the legal drinking age) and trips in and around the campus meeting other drunk birds.
I wasn't a social guy, but my roomie saved my neck in that department. Hang out with social ppl if you can.

Whatever you do, don't isolate yourself. For first week suck it up and put yourself out there.

If you're an introvert (like myself), overthinking will only kill your chances of making friends. Find a way to stop thinking (for me booze did the trick).
