US doesn't care about soccer because....we just don't care. It's not the most popular sport in the country, as it is almost everywhere else, so it doesn't attract top athletes.
If soccer was the only sport in the US, I'd be willing to bet we'd dominate.

No because it requires less athleticism/knowledge than basketball or football. I've never played soccer in my life and granted I would suck ass, I would still be able to somewhat play. You aren't going to do **** in basketball/football without training and being physically fit.
Oh yeah, and english people calling soccer more alpha than football? Lol
