    aesthetic lifting an power lifting

    What differates the two? Is it just diet?
    As when spoke to aesthetic lifters on here there all lifting as much as possible. so your still lifting heavy? New confusedness

    Nothing really, low bodyfat makes you look aesthetic there are loads of powerlifters in the lower weight classes that look great.

    It's pretty obvious isn't it?

    Bodybuilders low body fat = diet

    They also do isolation exercises, to focus on areas that are lagging/ not aesthetic

    Whereas power lifters have to either keep to a weight class, or get as strong as possible.

    Powerlifters will focus on weak spots from a strength point of view, not aesthetics.

    Im going to guess that you mean between Bodybuilders and powerlifters?

    If so, Bodybuilders develop the muscles to present them to judges. Developing a balance (or lack of nowadays) of mass + Symmetry to create an Aesthetic physique.

    Powerlifters focus on developing outright Strength, notably in 3 areas for competition(deadlift,squat,bench press). But generally they strive to push for the largest amount of weight they can possibly move.

    the biggest guy who has been in my gym (and probably about 8 or 9%bf) only did compounds. squats, rows, weighted pullups, deadlifts, bench, military press and he said he occasionally did clean and press.

    he looked awesome, like greg plit but a little bit more bulky with bigger legs

    Most simply:
    - Bodybuilders these days want size only. So their training consists mainly of hypertrophy.
    - Powerlifters want strength. So it's obviously strength training. Much lower reps and constant shots at PBs.
