    What's even the point of a multi-vit

    I just bought a bottle of multi-vitamins today to see what the big hype is, I don't knwo why some of you like vitamins more than whey

    It can fill the gaps left from a bad diet or to "cover all your bases" or for someone who doesn't have the budget to have a lot of variety in their nutrition.

    but I would always reccomend someone to have a well balanced diet first and then supplement with just the individual nutrients they need or are lacking.

    Besides, at 16 yrs old, you don't need to worry about supps yet. Just eat a variety of foods and stay active

    A good multi with proper doses and bioavailability can do wonders for skin, vision, nails and hair.
    It also helps a bit with recovery and I remember reading one time, a multi can prevent over-training up to a certain limit.

    Its more less a security blanket to make sure your getting all the nutrients you need. At age 16 a mulivitamin is a great choice.

    Multivitamins has other micronutrients in them that you really can't get from whey. I view them as an insurance policy basically. Most of us don't really eat varied enough diets and that is the main benefit of them. You really shouldn't use them as a main source of nutrients.
