Either C Man is still on dialup when hitting the reply button or he's going for emphasis with a triple post.
To answer gym_girly's question, most smith bars will weigh between 20-55 lbs, lower if they are counter-balanced (you'd know right away since the bar would feel near weightless compared to a freeweight bar) and obviously vice versa. The most common weight is about 15-20 lbs for a counter-balanced bar and 45-55 lbs if it's not, but you won't know for sure unless you weigh yourself with and without the bar in hand. Usually you can ask the people managing the gym and they'll know what the bar weight is or you can get the make/model of the machine and post it and we can help track it down for you via the manufacturer info.
