I haven't competed since the summer of 2010, but my last victory was also my first pro show; the 2010 Musclemania Universe. I weighed 197lbs for this contest. I've never had shredded glutes, but I can hold my own in most of the mandatories. One of my long term goals is to compete as a heavyweight (over 198), but if that never happens I'd like to maintain this look for the masters division.

Im sitting at a BEASTLY 16.5". Id kill for some 18s.
I hear ya. I only bring up numbers because sometimes people make guesses that greatly exaggerate the truth. Perhaps they were just trying to flatter me, but a lot can be said for maintaining the illusion. I've seen people with bigger arms than mine that weren't necessarily better because the shape wasn't there. So, that just goes to show that sometimes less is more!

you are huge. mine flexed and pumped in contest condition are like 15.5.
Thanks, but I wasn't trying to downplay the size. They were around 16 when I started training at 17 years old. Even back then they had the same shape and peak, so it's hard to notice any difference because the improvements were gradual. And, they stopped growing in my early 20's; so, after all this time, I don't think much of them. I hope you get your pro card!

Thanks. No matter where you start, it takes a lot of work to see results. So, you must be doing something right, and you're still young. Nice workout log BTW.

This thread gets me more motivated/inspired than any 'motivational' youtube training video.
It's amazing to see the type of physique that can be built naturally and what I can aim to achieve.
Doesn't look like it has been posted yet so here goes.
This is Julian Cisterna. I just watched him compete in the Sierra Vista Copper Classic last weekend.
One of Tyler Mayers clients. Julian ended up taking the overall, as did Dawn Bamford (dispit being sick for the full week leading up to the show). Both Tyler Mayers clients. Way to go Team TNT:
