I've recently gotten a blood test and it shows i have low T and low free T levels. I think this has come out from the last 6 months where I have been eating a bit under maintenance and doing cardio. Within the last year i had lost about 85 lbs through diet and exercise. I really dont want to be put on TRT for the rest of my life, and I would like to raise my T levels naturally through a normal diet.
Im 5'10, about 20% BF, I eat roughly 2000-2200 calories per day, about 200 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbs, and around 50-60 grams of fats per day..
What can I eat/do to raise my T levels, as i am always fatigued, moody, irritable, and it takes a while for my muscle soreness to go away..
I play soccer about 2-3 times a week, weightlift 3 days a week and sometimes run during the week depending on if i feel i went over maintenance..
Can this be reversed, or did my body just get FUBAR?

I think there is only so much you can do diet wise. From what I have read it revolves around the eating a diet high in Fat and Cruciferous Vegetables. So fire up the steak and broccoli and go to town.

Man... I really wish I had low T. I would then actually get some work done, and be focused on things other than:
semi srs.
By the way, here is a good way to raise T. Look at the above picture for 5 minutes daily.
Also I would raise fat intake if I was you. Start sleeping 8-10 hours daily. Things like that.
And your calories look a bit low for your stats. Maintenance for your stats should be ~2300
Lyle talks about taking a break from diet, maybe you're just tired from losing 85 lbs...

ok, problem is that i am a bit skinny fat.. I mean my family tells me i look emaciated, but i still have some chest fat and such... I want to bulk and increase muscle but i am afraid of overeating because i do not want to get fat again. I have 1% cottage cheese about 4 times a day, i eat peanut butter in the morning with oatmeal all in attempt to increase my daily fat, but just cant seem to cut it.
Is ZMA effective in raising Test? I have to wait another 3 weeks to go to an endocronologist, but i want to get this figured out because i dont want to ruin my body.
Thanks guys, appreciate it

What were your test levels?
If you are very low diet is not going to fix it. Not sure why you don't want to go on TRT if you have low test. My levels were 200, I went on TRT and it was the best decision I could have made. My mood improved drastically, sex drive increased, gained muscle, lost body fat, had more stamina, etc.
Yes, I will have to be on TRT the rest of my life, but my life will be more enjoyable, than living with low test.
If nothing else I would try it for 2-3 months with that time frame you could go off the test without permanently damaging your ability to produce natural test. See how much of a difference it makes for you.

well i spoke to some assistant on the phone who said something about total being 188 low and free being 1.8? dont quote me because she didnt seem to know what she was talking about
i dont really want to be on TRT for the rest of my life though. i hear it puts you at more of a risk of getting heart disease, becoming sterile, and prostate cancer..
titan, have you been able to keep up with stamina? i have been feeling really run down during pickup soccer games, it seems as if after 15 minutes im dead tired

well i think that my low T has been caused by my stricter low calorie diets, low fats, very little sleep, and high level of stress... are you saying TRT is the only thing that will help?
at this time of year last year, i had just started to lift weights, and i had been eating more than i was now, and i was fine. since my grandmother died in january, i joined a new gym, started doing more cardio, started counting calories again obsessively and went way too hard on myself. there has to be a way other than a lifetime of TRT to counteract what i did

Dude ur main prob is u r not eating enough. I use to be like that and than I bumped my calories to 3000 a day and everything improved. I only workout 3 days a week too and am same height and lower bf% than u but still one of those skinny fat people. With all of ur soccer and gym time ur body is closer to a starvation mode. Also I found around 60-80g of carbs before any serious activity helped a lot to not get tired and went up in weight while staying same bf%.

thanks brent.. im going to try to eat a bit more, im going to try to eat at my true maintenance for a little while, around 2300 because i normally eat at most 2100, and see if anything improves.. im also going to eat according to my extra cardio burned as well, when i play soccer i dont eat as much as i should because some days i feel like i didnt burn enough
i think that 3000 is a bit too much, because i read a lyle mcdonald article about p-ratio. it said that slimmed down individuals (such as i) are more prone to storing fat when they bulk as opposed to people who are naturally thin with a high metabolism.
i hope some of you can relate to the fact that it took 3 years to take the weight off, i just dont want to throw away my accomplishment. im finally at a smaller frame, albeit im a bit scrawny, but ive been big all my life and dont want to appear fat again
