    hungry while bulking

    Some days while I'm bulking, ill hit my macros (300+ over calculated maintenance) and ill still be hungry at the end of the day.. Can I assume I am not eating enough? Im trying to keep this bulk as lean as possible as i just cut 50lbs

    Is it left over appetite from when you were +50lbs? Could just be old habits coming back.

    Keep where you are for a while. If you don't put on muscle, add calories. If you start putting on fat, remove calories.

    If OP is gaining at an appropriate rate then he just needs to harness some will power.

    I do weigh out EVERYTHING.. I mean i will literally get a tablespoon of ketchup not just squeeze some on a piece of bread. I don't eat when Im hungry I eat when I need to get my macros. I have a very black and white approach to dieting as it helped me lose the 50lbs

    moderately active workout 5 days/week lifting heavy

    eating 3300-3400kcal a day

    OP: are you more concerned/disappointed that you are hungry while bulking or that you are hungry at the end of the day?

    If you are disappointed that you are hungry while bulking 300c over maintenance is not that much.

    If you are hungry at the end of the day move your calories around so you have something left at the end of the day so you can eat. A kick a$$ sludge (or your fav food) at the end of the day is great motivation to get through the hungry hours during the day.

    You could afford to up your calories a little.. You're only eating 13-14% above maintenance. You could raise it to 20% a couple of days (3,660 calories) and see if that helps the hunger

    Look into intermittent fasting (leangains approach). One possible way to blunt hunger. Shoot for 2lbs of weight gain per month.
