    Question Cardio after weight Training - 20 minutes ok?

    Hi All!

    Just a quick question about doing cardio after my weight training.

    Is there any benefit of doing just 20 minutes of cardio after lifting weights? I'm sure i've read something about fat burning beginning after 20 minutes of cardio or am I already in the fat burning mode since I've been lifting weights before hand?

    Sometimes I only have about 20 minutes to spare after doing weights so I try to get some cardio in but i'm not sure if it actually gets me anywhere?

    In fat-loss mode, I would consider doing 15-20 min of HIIT after an upper body workout, but no way after legs! If your goal is geared more towards gaining muscle than cutting, I'd skip the cardio and just focus on working the muscles and giving them rest.
    squat - 215
    bench - 135
    deadlift - 275
    press - 105

    Yes, I only ever do cardio after an upper body workout, never after legs.

    Ok, i'll do HIIT for 20 minutes after my weights session.

    I do max of 30 min. of HIIT after my workouts, which is perfect for me. On the main site, their is a new article regarding HIIT that might help you out..
