    Starting Strength Log

    Well, I'm new to bb.com and I'm keen on my training so I thought I'd start a thread to track my progress and get some feedback

    Im 17 years old, been lifting on and off for 2 years, nothing serious.. (curls bench etc)

    I now started Starting Strength for the second time (I ran it last year, not properly however and half heartedly)

    I've been on it for about 2 months now and I'll be posting my lifts from workout to workout, hoping to become a beast!

    I'm reaching a point where the workouts are getting difficult and I've began failing
    This is my workout A from today:

    Squat 264lbs 3 x 5 (difficult)
    Bench 176lbs 4,4,4 (was meant to get 5,5,5)
    Deadlift 286 x 5 (belt, alt. grip) fairly easy

    need to start eating more and hopefully push 176 3x5 on sunday! (i train fridays,tuesdays,sundays)

    these are all PR's for me, so it's all good

    Friday:
    Squat 270 3x5
    Press 120 5,4,4 (3,5,5 last time; gonna deload)
    Rows 120 3x5

    I was doin powercleans before but then I duno what happened but my wrist just wasnt lettin me, so I'm doin rows, seeing as I'll probably stop SS soon..

    Sunday:
    Squat 275 3x5 (felt like goodmornings and were so hard, and my friend helped me on my last rep wen i told him not to .. probably gonna deload soon)
    Bench 176 5,3,3 ( so pissed off i thought i would have it !! gonna deload )
    Deadlift 290 x 5 (easy, usin a belt)
    335 x 1 ( was pissed off about bench so i thought i'll just try something fun lol nice and easy my goal is to pull 400 soon !! )

    Deloaded pretty much everything today because I failed press, and my form on squat was becoming like good mornings

    Squat 242 3x5 (easy, pretty much atg)
    Press 121 3x5 (easy)
    Rows 127 3x5 (pendlay rows, felt pretty good)

    and the workout was easy and some one was deadlifting with my bar, so i thought i might as well max out
    and i pulled 374lbs !!! pr for me so i was happy
    then i hit some dips (weighted for the first time with 13 lbs), got about 10 reps
    did some pushdowns and some curls
    also hit some rear delts

    i know with starting strength i shouldn't be doing these, but i don't wanna end up some unaesthetic guy, esp with people telling me how small my arms are compared to my torso !!
