I was her first serious bf. We met right after she graduated from high school.

We still love each other and we both agreed to go our separate ways while still in good terms.

The reason for staying together this long and then break up?

I am asian and she is white. There is a huge communication problem between my family and her. my family is a big part of my life and she won't be happy living with us.
