I used to workout 6 days a week (one body part per day) but recently read some bodybuilding material saying that 3 to 4 day splits are ideal because working out more than 2 days in a row is not productive.
3 or 4 days a week sounds very little to me, particularly cuz I have all the time I need (its the summer) right now. So im just curious... how many days a week do you guys workout?

It depends on goals and experience.
Having excessive time is really irrelevant, you should be thinking about the optimal way to make progress.
3, but I'm thinking about adding a 4th. And it's not because I have spare time, it's because I have some new events in upcoming shows and the volume on the extra day will be low enough.Qualifying for long drive contest with 328 yard drive

Me personally I do 3 days of full body. On..off...on...off...on...off off. I get plenty of time to heal and don't worry about over using a muscle doing a different muscle group this way. Everyone is different tho...its also just my own experience from trying split days and going to fullbody 3 days a week.

3-4x strength training
2x cardio
1x yoga
I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate yoga and all the dumb moves but I signed up for a class at the university near where I live and Jesus Christ the women there are ridiculously gorgeous! There are usually 12-15 of us in the class and only 2-4 guys (1 I think is gay so he doesn't count). Dumb moves and it takes so long but it's worth it for the women/dates/etc.
College chicks ftw!

I agree its on goals and maturity of muscle. I go with 5 times a week with a target on all the muscles. Arm day is 2 seperate workouts in the begining of the day, buy it really depends on genetic makeup and if your gearing up or not, listen to your body, and I use to workout with a gear head and we were doing arnold workouts, 40sets a day, and im natural and always have been, but boy did I gain

I think the question you really need to ask is how long everybody has been training for..as somebody who's been training for a 1-3 years will train differently that somebody 6months to a year...
ur split its great for 6 months to a year, getting the important mind to muscle connectivity, which is very important..not going too mad...when u get more advanced ur gonna have to train ur body parts once every 4/5 days, because ur going to be much more skilled at breaking down muscle tissue..and avoiding injuries..which i hurt my shoulders over 4 months of major over training..
heres what i do: a 3 split routine..its a deliberate split...see the rest, legs, rest, this is very deliberate to give my shoulders time to recover and not to interfer with muscle growth..never trains arms and 1/2 days later do a bodypart using them,u wont have recovered properly..
