Okay i need help.
A month ago i was doing 275, sets of 60% 10 times 68% 8 times(twice) and finally 5 80%.
2 weeks ago after a break i started lifting again. My football coach told us to do 10 60% 68% 9 times,80% 5 times, and 85% 5 times. I did all of the sets except 85% ,and i was working off 275. Last Monday i worked off of 265 i did the same rotation again, and i had trouble @ 85%.We did bench again on Thursday. We did a different rotation. I worked off of 260. The rotation was 60% 10 times 68% 9 times twice, and 80% 5 times. But i couldn't do the 80% wtf? The weight on there was supper easy for me.
My friend who is much weaker then me did it.Then we did bench on Friday again. And my bench went down again , and i couldn't do the 80%.Rotation was (10 60% 68% 9 times,80% 5 times, and 85% 5 times). Why is my bench going down so fast?BTW my friend was not here on Monday so his muscles probably rested more then mine. Also on Wednesday I worked my triceps like crazy.

Doing bench 3x a week won't necessarily lower your press. Many people do it... particularly for sheiko. I myself have benched 3x a week and made progress (on sheiko). You might be getting weaker due to eating less more so than from overtraining.
Idk my maxes at this point, I'm just starting back.. current PRs
Squat 375 3x1, 350x4
Deadlift 505x1 , 500x6
Bench 320 2x1

Ya your probably right, i just came back from a break. While hes been lifting at football since the end of may.Since Friday I have been eating a lot more protein,so hopefully that will help change my bench. I have not been eating as much as i use to since Tuesday so that might also have been the problem.

One last question guys.Umm I am going to work out today.I did bench on Friday.I want to only work my triceps.Would it be alright if i did close grip to work my triceps ,or would that activate my chest to much. The last time i worked out my triceps was on Wednesday, would it be to soon to work out my triceps. Also i am worried about doing close grip because that might use my chest which needs to rest.

It's a damn shame that high school S&C programs are such a joke.
550/385/655, 285 overhead press, 330 push jerk, 250 weighted dip, 190 weighted pull-up, 413.8 max weighted pull-up, 450 front squat, 365 RFESS, 305 x 2 log press, 400 (per arm) farmer's carry, 370 atlas stone, 31 pull-ups at 247.

it should be obvious that you haven't given your triceps a rest; you worked them monday, wednesday thursday and friday so of course you're not gonna be able to lift as much on friday without a chance to recover. you will not overtrain in that short an amount of time, your other coach is correct. however if you bench on consecutive days you might risk hurting your rotator cuff or other shoulder muscles; also you should be eating a LOT of food and protein if you're gonna work out at that intensity (i would say it's ok to work out like that if you take days off for benching; you could do other exercises at that frequency as long as you take minimum 1 day off in between workout days the next week).

It's better to do bench two or three times a MONTH than 3 times a week. Plus you have no idea how much of an impact healthy eating and rest has, but trust me. If you're putting for the effort in the gym, not overtraining, eating enough healthy food, and resting you will have great result that just keep on improving.
