IMO Honesty stems from Integrity.
You either have it or you dont.
But then it CAN be taken to the extreme and become brutally honest.

I think that there are times when honesty is appropriate and times when it isn't. There's a fine line between being honest for good and honest for bad; and I'm not sure that, even at 35, I always know the right answer to this.

I agree 100% with this. Just because you have an opionion, and would only give an honest opinion, still doesn't mean you should share it, even if you have a right to give it. Sometimes, discretion is the best policy.

I just don't see this topic going anywhere without a little more effort from the OP. Honesty and integrity are tired topics. The OP should provide something meaningful to build off of.

Only because you haven't experienced enough life (granted, I'm guessing) to update your latest definition to beyond that of a 5th grader. Almost everything is cut and dry when you're very young. OP has his reasons for asking.
