Does all muscle appears bigger on low-bodyfat?

Thread title. Is there an exception of muscle where you need to work it out to make it appear bigger? Don't confuse this with toning (shaping muscle).

Seems like my chest is the same size's as my friend (lower bodyfat), even though I work-out my chest (he doesn't even do workout).

What is your bf % ? it depends on how much muscle you have but obviously muscles will look better and more visible at a lower bf. Your only 15 tho, so keep up the good work and maybe add in a few 20min HIIT sessions to kickstart fat burning faster. Think long term and you'll deffinately look bigger and better than those who aren't working out.

Not everyone starts out the same due to a multitude of factors. For example my brother has always been a lot more stocky than me, even when we were very young, that meant he had a much better base to start with than I did so it would probably take a year or 2 for me to catch him up.

It takes time to build muscle, just keep at it.

Yes, lower bodyfat % gives the illusion of bigger muscles, just as shaving the body area and tanning also gives such illusion.

People are different. I have a naturally big lower body, big legs and calves, and a naturally smaller and weaker upper body.

Definetly not when your in the awkward middle body fat range... when I was at 25% bf my arms looked huge since I was bulking and still had some definition.. now that I am below 20% and cutting, they look skinnier since the defintion hasn't changed that much... Cant speak for the lower teens though

I thought that I had freakishly large leg muscles when I was overweight. Now that I've leaned out quite a bit, it just turns out I have well developed leg muscles. I would take your bigger leg muscles as a sign that your body builds muscle easily and well. Your upper body is weaker because you haven't used it.
