    Stronglifts 5x5 nutrition.

So I am in week two of SL and am what is considered skinny fat, except I have a flat chest and store all fat around stomach and love handles.
    I am 6ft and weight 165lbs with 16% bf.

I started eating around 3000cal a day, about 300g carbs, 220g protein and 70g fat. This is about 500cal over maintenance.

Is this a good diet for a strength program like SL? will this be enough calories for strength gains or is it too much (especially while the weights are still in the low ranges in the first couple of weeks)? I am also concerned about just picking up fat and no muscle mass.

    Any hints or comments appreciated.

Track weight gain, look for steady progress over the months. Adjust intake as needed.

Increase fat intake at expense of protein is likely wise. See sticky topics.

Just try to train steady and make steady gains. Dont be in a race or scared of a little fat. It takes time and consistency to build muscle.
The most important aspect of weight training; whether for the athlete, bodybuilder, or average person is to better ones health and ability without injury. - Bill Pearl
